Does the P5Q Pro have fooked temperature sensors?

Well, does it? Cause I am having some STRANGE temp readings. First, at stock 1.6GHZ and volts, HWmonitor tells me that I am idling at 58*C with an AC Freezer Pro 7, so I know that it's unreliable. Realtemp give me a more believable 38*C, but it doesn't change at all with OC, I am up to 1.4V and it still idles at 38*C, same goes for HW monitor.

Now Asus PC probe tells me that I am idling at 39-42*C, which seems reasonable considering the chip and my votlts. Anyone know anything about this?

Are you sure it's not the chip? The core sensors are located in the CPU. The CPU (socket) temperature is located on the motherboard.

i got some stupid readings with my xeon (70 loaded, 50 idle), but i'm thinking thats more to blame with my crappy ninja, and the tj max being different than a normal c2d

Check if your sensors are stuck with realtemp.

Sensors are fine on the chip. Just tested with realtemp. I thought that I read something about the P5Q having problems, but I can't remember where.
