The game has baked in RT right ? No way to turn it off so 9000 being close to 7000 series tracks.I see, thanks for clarifying.
Though, this is still an oddly tight knit family of cards which are all supposed to be further apart (well, at the very least the 9070 XT should be slower than the 5070 Ti and the 9070 shouldn't be so close to the XTX, but neither should the 4070 Ti S). The 9000 cards and the 40 series appear to be outdoing themselves.

It will be better, path tracing is coming and everyone will like it at 50 fps on RTX 5090, 200 fps with fake frames.worst optimisation ever seen.
Also looks blurry mess.

It's pure luck there are people that actually bought a RX 9070 XT for MSRP i bought it nearly a month ago for 670€. RTX 5070 is such a weak gpu that it's usually sells very close to MSRP. Price is good because performance is weak if we look deeper. No one wants those peanuts for higher price. RTX 5070 reminds me RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti 16GB gpus price isn't low but actual hardware sucks hard.Cause surely the 9070xt replaced the 7800xt. I could buy the latter 549$ at launch, the former was around 900$. Lol, man, what the actual...
Hopefully the upcoming B750 & B770(or C750 & C770?) will offer good performance!No 60 FPS unless you use XeSS

Oh well.No worries, i heard the game will get some path tracing/Nvidia money so AMD will run at 1 fps and every Nvidia GPU from rtx 3060 to RTX 5090 will beat anything AMD has from now till the end of times.
Going to be a game pass play for me too.The game will be on gamepass on day 1 and since I have that as a gift I will be playing it there right away.

The price of the 5070 has dropped so much that it's no longer a piece of crap. Where I live, even the 9070 is 200 more expensive, and I don't even want to talk about the 9070xt. There's more and more evidence that the 4080 is better than the 5070ti, and the price of the 5070ti is finally starting to go down. It's pure luck there are people that actually bought a RX 9070 XT for MSRP i bought it nearly a month ago for 670€. I think it might be more due to the game play and level design than outright visual impressiveness. The levels are much larger and 'wider', and there are apparently much much more enemies too.It honestly doesn’t look THAT superior to the previous iteration of idTech to warrant the performance degradation

Other than Indiana Jones (which is hardly a paragon of optimization), I can't think of any other game that uses the Vulkan API and includes path tracing. So with this being the 2nd Vulkan game (and first on the new id engine), I'm not surprised they're working closely with Nvidia to incorporate path tracing. Probably working with Khronos as well to improve pure RT and PT performance in Vulkan. That said... they are working with nVidia on bringing PathTracing to this game. Which honestly.... kinda disappointing. They are ID software, part of what they do is develop a game engine,... they shouldn't need nVidia to do it at all and they should be making there own custom solution.

While I've had some issues getting 8 GB cards, like the RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB, to run well in Indiana Jones, this is a non-issue in DOOM. Unlike Indiana Jones, the game will not crash when out of VRAM. I tested and confirmed that it is able to use system main memory as overflow when out of graphics VRAM. Of course the game will now run slower, but it won't crash anymore. You can see this in our 8 GB vs 16 GB results at 4K, which clearly show that cards with 8 GB are handicapped, but they continue running, which gives you a chance to adjust the settings. At max settings, at 1080p, which is the right resolution for RTX 5060 Ti, both 16 GB and 8 GB achieve the same performance, the same is true for 1440p with DLSS Quality.

Less memory chips, more power for the GPU.- I'm not sure if the 8GB and 16GB Numbers are mixed up in the WHQD and 1080p diagram. Maybe some special super overclocked 5060ti with 8gb was used. Note: I only looked at the numbers - not text

HUB knew about this, that's why they used the previous drivers (576.31)"The driver situation has been quite fluid for this review. First, AMD and NVIDIA provided a set of drivers (25.10.09.01 and 576.31), but later updated them with new versions (25.5.1 WHQL and 576.40 Prerelease). When comparing performance data with other reviews, make sure to check whether old drivers are used. For the NVIDIA driver update we measured a performance increase of around 5%, which is pretty significant. NVIDIA confirmed that these performance improvements will be included in the public game-ready driver release on Monday, May 12th, 2025."
