i have an opty 165 i can sell you, IHS was removed and it works great. had it oced on air to 2.6 ghz on my MSI neo-4.

Agreed. Mine is still kicking. Dad has it right now. It gets to 2.7GHz without any voltage increases. If I had some DDR500 ram i could get it to 3GHz easy. Highest ive had it is 2.75Ghz.

Im asking $45 + shipping. i think that thats a fair price for a cpu that could easily get a 1+ ghz oc, not to menton i bought it for $80.

I'm glad i bought my opty 165 back in the days that it came out, still using it to. Even oc'ed it to 2.8ghz on air, best 400$ spent on a chip ever.

I am still in search of a dual core socket 939 proc.
I thought i was going to buy one from crowbarmaster but the pics he sent showed the opty with no ihs and it looked like it had once been covered completley with thermal paste "even the resistors".
I want his opty 165 but no seller crudentials and the fact that think looks terible has left me wanting.

your going to pass up a great cpu. it was once coated in TX-2 which is non-conductive, and given the fact that those resistors were warm one day after taking my zalman off to test a cpu that i bought for anouther system, i decided to fix that issue with some thermal paste. there is nothing wrong with it, and i want to sell the other things i have on this forum, which would mean i damn sure better be telling the truth.
