Dual display question.

I've just bought an LCD TV with DVI input, which I've hooked up and is used as an extended display, no probs. I'd like to be able to run Windows Media Centre on the secondary display. I've managed to drag it over and then make it fullscreen on the secondary, problem is the mouse pointer is stuck over there. I'd like to be able to mess about on the main display whilst using the media centre, anyone know if this is possible? I'm hoping its a simple solution but I can't seem to get it. Might be best if you just leave it in windowed mode, but make the window fill the screen. Thats the only way I have found of having the mouse be able to go between the two monitors, with a "fullscreen" app

Does anyone else have any other ideas? Reason I ask is that I have an old remote from Power DVD which just happens to perfectly work with Media Centre. It would be really slick if I could start up media centre from the remote on the secondary display whilst still having acess to the mouse on the main display. Am I asking too much?? It seems so simple, LOL
