I'm building my new system and i really want to have a cooling system that doesnt put dust into my system. For the CPU i am planning to get water cooling kit (ThermalTake BigWater SE). By going with water cooling i reduce the amount of air intake in the case. Of course i will still have to have some fans for intake air for other components such as hard drive and video card.

Thinking about it now, i am still gonna get some dust because i need sufficient air flow to cool other components. How are you guys keep the dust of of your machine? What you guys think of water cooling to reduce dust in the system? Any suggestion? Thanks.

I just use compressed air to clean it every so often, no big deal. You can get filters to put on your fans, but they reduce air flow. You can get water blocks to cool hard drives, CPU, and your video card.

my computer is in a room with an outside door.. low down.. its get dusty.. the less air i move thru it the the less dust gets carried in but i just except the fact that every so often i have to take it apart and clean the components.. compressed air gets rid of the bulk but some just gets grimed on and wont blow off..

my current one has been together for less than six weeks and its time for a clean out.. he he

once you start using fans dust will be there.its inevitable.
you`ll also get dust because the tower doesnt have any antistatic component that will help.
so the solution is air filters and tactical cleaning.
