i just got this mobo and i when i went to reinstall windows. it would say that it could not read my windows xp cd, and also would stop on a Blue error screen.i formatted the drive, remade the pri partition formatted again and still the same thing.after numerous tries i gave up.reinstalled my old board and WALA load windows.so it was either the new mobo was broke or it was having a prob reading my cd-rom i guess.even took out sound and videocard and still nothing.
any suggestions would be helpfull. thanks

What does the error screen say? Make sure all of your cables are tight, you have spacers in between the motherboard and case, and the board is not shorting on anything. Make sure your drives are booting in the correct order(CD drive first), and see if you have the latest BIOS revision. Check if you are getting any beep/light codes from your motherboard.

Other than that it would help a lot if you told us what your "Blue error screen" says.

Can't rule out the fact that it may just be DOA. Its an awefully cheap board.
