On 4K with ray tracing you need a Ryzen 7 5800X or an Intel Core i7 10700k, in combination with a Radeon RX 6800 or an RTX 3080.
Here Ubisoft seems to have reversed some system requirements, as the RX 6900 XT is more powerful than the RX 6800. .

1080p 60+ high/max it is... cheers!
(3600 + 16GB dual + 1070ti)

1440p @60 fps will do me. Looks a lot of fun shooting stuff up on Cuba a Caribbean island!
Might pre-order on Epic.

1080p/60 here I come!

oh yeah with my new pc i am ready for 4K 60 FPS with ray tracing. now let´s see cpu tjeck, ram tjeck, storage tjeck, GPU it needs RTX 3080... i have GTX 1660 super =. Dam it, hate this gpu shortage. well i guess it´s 1080P medium/high settings for me. At least until i can get my hands on a proper gpu.

I wonder if this entry in the series will be as lackluster as the last two games were? I still can't honestly say I beat FarCry 4....in game time shows 12 hours, but I don't recall playing it (how sad is that?). FarCry 5 was okay coop, I never would have put time into it for single player.

I guess if my brother really wants to get the game and wants to play it coop, at least I can max the game out on my system at 1440p....I won't be doing any of that sissy raytracing crap, though. Don't want my fps to tank just for some extra eye candy.

Use to be a mad FC1 fan yrs ago, even FC2 had it's moments. When FC3 came along, the cut scenes drove me nuts, too long!. FC4 still had the same problem.
I have not tried FC5, but wondering if FC6 is still going to have those stupid cut scenes that are too long?

FarCry 5 had issues where you could be playing coop, you and your friend could be in completely different areas and all of a sudden one of you would trigger a cutscene and the second person would instantly get pulled into it. It had to be one of the most irritating things about the game. I'd be out in one area and my brother would be in another when all of a sudden some random cutscene would start on my screen and it would be completely irrelevant to what I was doing....after the cutscene ended I would be warped to my brother's location to play out some kind of "boss" fight or whatever else came up after the cutscene.

Hopefully that's not an issue in FarCry 6.

That principle of being pulled into a quest because you were exploring the game world that just happened to be in the general area of the quest, drove me nuts in FC3. If you didn't do it, you failed that quest.
It's like who's playing the game here, the player or the developers?

I really enjoyed FC5 which I played with a friend. I too hate the cut scenes but I do look forward to FC6.
As for performance, we'll see but I have the rig to play 4K/60 Ultra.

FC1 was great. FC2, 3, 4 all sucked for me, but 5 was damn good.

Really? I suppose I have to try 5 again more open minded or something, but that one really bored me away more so than 4.

I guess it was the setting and how they pulled the religious thing into utter ridiculous, as they did for a number of other things.

FC3 was free so thats what I'm playing off and on with Anno 2205.

I know want to try FC5 after hearing about it from others here. :D

It has all those stupid long-cut scenes that would pop up randomly and I have to say it annoyed the hell out of me. I played the entire story with a buddy. By myself, I may not have liked it nearly as much. We plan to play FC6 together as well. I enjoyed the story a lot and the gameplay was so much fun. Killing all those cultists was a great way to pass our evenings.

4 was better than 5 for sure -- 5 was fun but 3, 3 BD, 4 and even New Dawn were all better than 5.

The cutscenes were way over done, but they really toned it down in New Dawn so I am hoping 6 keeps that going. 2 is still the all-time worst far cry for me.

Is the game still tied to one thread? lol

Everything is fun with friends :D

But the cut scenes I remember, yes. And those endless god damn dream world missions. FFS

Don't you know what happens when people pre-order? :D

For example, cyberpunk :D.

Cyberpunk just happened I don't think the pre order had anything to do with it.

I mean Far Cry is a formulaic title at this point... 3 4 5 were basically the same game in different settings -- pretty sure you can safely pre order any game that has a '6' after it... If the series has done this 5 times and still making money, chances are it will be what the people want.

2K on medium looks WAY better than 1080P soap. i'm using currently 1660S, but, bingo, with 4K monitor lol (gaming at 2K easily, Hitman 3 for example). waiting for arrive of 3060ti.

i liked 5 more, was easier for me than New DOwn lol:D

looks damn funny like they comparing ryzen 1200 with i5-4460, better 1200 is i5-3570 (did an "upgrade" for one customer and haven't noticed any difference from 3570 to R 1200 lol). and there are 8700K which gives a blow to plain 9700, too. oh, those sys req creators... what they smoke, what they take... :D also, 5700xt is weaker than 2070s lol..
for WHAT purpose we would need 4K 30 fps? enjoy "beautiful" tv scenes? also, 3080 in recos... and "unknown settings" gives me a clue there could be possible 45 at least, if you don't need all that "ultra" and "glamorous tracing" lol

Agreed, those dream missions were the worst. Every single time we both were just like "*&#$ this." Then it would end and we'd be having a blast!

Never understood the thinking behind those...

Boss: "Guys everyone loves our game because it's a fun open world shooter with different guns"
Boss: "So let's make forced, on-rails chokepoint missions where they're not using guns and all they can do is walk forward! And let's make them mandatory and long, and we will pull the player out of the open world to really kill the immersion as much as possible!"

Team: "Yeah! on it, how many should we have 1? 3?"

Boss: "Nah - 12 at the minimum. At least 4 per section plus super annoying long intro."

Drop the 2K ;) its completely unclear what res that actually is. 2000x2000? Half of 4K? 1080p? A millenium bug?

Maybe theyre in there so the game feels varied ? Lets face it, after every dream mission your hands are itching to play normally again...
