I honestly don't see the point of taking an FPS icon like Fatal1ty, and putting his name on motherboards. Mice, keyboards, mouse pads, and even sound cards make sense, because that directly relates to competitively gameplay, but motherboards make no sense at all. The same goes for Fatal1ty Zalman cases that once existed, it didn't make sense.

It's like taking LeBron James' name and putting it on basketball court wood floor inserts. Yeah, he plays basketball and wood floors are part of the game, but it doesn't mean consumers need to see his name branded all over everything relating to the sport.

It's the same with Fatal1ty. He's a legend who won many, many tournaments in many different FPS games, but we don't need to see his name on a fricking motherboard, it makes no sense and only adds a cheesy effect to a premiere brand such as ASUS.

If it's a quality board, I don't care of the Teletubbies are printed on it.

I just saw a video of this board, the features and color scheme aren't bad but i just don't like branding products with peoples names of them, if he's determined to make a good board with manufactures that's fine, or even cases, sounds cards whatever that's the way the world works and money is made, but it's the BS marketing pitches that these are what the gamers need and slapping his gamertag all over the product as if that makes it better is always what makes my head turn the other way.

It's marketing at it's finest and that's all, having him as the poster boy for computer hardware only makes me what to turn away from his products even more.

I'm not going to throw hate sauce on this, but i remember owning the Abit Fatal1ty board, and to be honest it wasn't a bad board for it's time, paid around $200 something and was one of the top boards out on the market at the time, comparing to now when we're spending $400 on motherboards I'd say it was ok.

But i do agree this guy has been gone for quite sometime now, back then he was in his teens and target audience were teen gamers, as a grown man he looks pretty cheesy doing this, looks like he's even gain some extra weight.

    WTF? gold cap's

"luxury, premium gold caps" "sleek high gloss caps with a premium gold coating representing long life and stable performance"

Well crap, here i was thinking aluminum polymer capacitors were good, now i realize my next board must have gold coated ones otherwise i will be missing out on that long life and stable performance.

Why would people team up with this guy anyway?

I'm sure 90% if not 95% of people have no idea who it is.

If the products that had his moniker on them had not all been crap to begin with people probably would not be so hostile against him. It really bothers me that someone would allow a company to use his name on such crap as CL7 DDR2.

True, maybe more may have known in the past when he was still competing but as far as i knew he had not for years now and even then the only reason i knew of him back then was an article about competitive gaming in a pc magazine.

To be honest after looking at the board more i must admit without the silly branding and gold caps it seams to be a pretty nice board, loads of usb3 and sata 6gb/s ports, hopefully pretty good power supply/management due to the digital PMW and butt load of phases.

I really think this board would have been better off without the branding as that would probably have reduced the price giving an awesome board for an ok cost.

    I totally agree with this^

That would be me! I always thought Fatal1ty was just a model name for marketing, I did not know it was an actual person.

I really don't know guys, what's your problem with this guy?? He's trying to make money like the rest of us. Where is this envy coming from? Nobody is forcing you to buy anything! Heck there are a lot of other similar offers without his brand. So, why all this rage against him?! He didn't insult anyone, he even declared he's not the best but maybe the luckiest. And that's all.
