My mom put my pants through the wash with my FEAR disk set in them(in cd case). Soap got in, dried, scratched the disks, cant use them, even if i try to use scratch remover.

I have the CD key, im wondering if its possible to order a new CD set from sierra, or wherever i need to, but without the key code, as I already have one.

didnt get the serial illegally, bought it from newegg last year for $40, and bought one for a friend for xmas as well, but he lost the disks, lol...

help!

you should be able to get the game online from someone you know and use your cdkey...all legal too..as long as you use your cdkey...also if you want this game to play online, sierra offers it for free...just goto the fear website and dl it...

Disk Replacement

If your program is damaged or defective, Vivendi Games will replace it for free within the 90-day warranty period with a proof of purchase.

If you don’t have proof of purchase or it’s after the 90-day warranty period, replacements for PC titles are available for $10.00 per product (cashier's check, money order, or personal check only -- no cash please).
PlayStation 2, Xbox, Game Boy, GameCube, DS and PSP title replacements are $15.00 per product.

Include the game disk(s) along with a note explaining the reason for replacement.
Please also include in this letter your name, address, telephone number, and correct payment amount (if applicable as stated above).

NOTE: The supply of replacement product is entirely subject to product availability.
Older titles may no longer be available, if so we will return your product and payment.

Send to:

Vivendi Games
ATTN: Disk Replacement
4247 S Minnewawa Ave.
Fresno, CA 93725-9345

Do not include any manuals or materials from the original package other than the game disk(s).

If the program consists of multiple disks you must include all of the CD's that were in the original packaging.

It is recommended that the package be sent via a traceable method such as Priority Mail, UPS, or Fed Ex. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs to return product.

Disk replacements take 4 - 6 weeks for delivery.

thats what i have found...

Dont have the disks actually. I tossed em because they were so badly damaged(imagine sandpaper) so yea, now what can I do?

Would redownloading the disks be legal? as I do have a legally obtained cd key

or am I stuck?

copywrite has a lot of loop holes.

it states that you can make you OWN backup for personal purpose, but CANNOT obtain a backup that is not yours.

i dont think that is clear enough tho....sure you can make a back up of discs and cdkey, but you cant use someone elses cdkey...the software is all the same....his disc or not..same software, its the key that cant be passed around...

I'll just ask the question i think needs to be asked...

ANYONE HAVE A COPY OF THE GAME WITHOUT A CDKEY THAT HE CAN HAVE?? POST IT HERE!!!

i would but i only have the full multiplayer free version....

tried, expensive stuff, cheap stuff, actual scratch remover, deep scratch remover.. nada.. 2 of the discs had the foil scratched, so they were done in anyway.

If you don’t mind having the DVD version, Pm me we can probably fix something up. I use the DVD version of bf2 to install the game and then I run it off the original cd, faster to put in one disk then to put 3 in  . So I don’t see why it wouldn’t run off yours.

Ps, I would have to send you either a ISO or a RAR that I would create of the image, so either you have a fast connection ( there would be a small handling fee, damn upload isn’t cheap where I live) or you get it off a torrent site. It’s all legal if you have the retail copy at home, that’s the only reason why these places still exist. By the way, downloading copyrighted stuff in Canada is almost legal :p we call it ''sharing''.
