I'm thinking of Going Straight water with a heatsink on the back of the board over the socket.

5 GHz is the most I'm going to get for Daily Use

And? The FX CPU dates from 2012 and the 6700K is a 2016 CPU which is a rebadged Skylake CPU which is just a slightly improved Broadwell CPU which is just a slightly improved Haswell CPU.
Yeah no. Skylake trades blows with Haswell/Devils Canyon and the only good thing about Broadwell was the half decent iGPU. Broadwell is weaker in terms of CPU performance.

Damn nice overclock man, I couldn't get my 8350 to go above 4.6Ghz no matter how many volts I threw at it (Safely anyways), even tried doing Bclk and Bclk+multi damn thing was like nah bro..

Makes sense, I figured it was probably the mobo since the Power phasing and VRMS aren't all that great, but I'll be selling it soon anyways and building something different.

This kind of stuff is really cool. I like these cooling setups that scrape the ceiling of... well, usability. I'm not a fan of dry ice, liquid nitrogen or other extreme cooling solutions because nobody can actually run a computer like that. Full custom water is about as good as it gets but this takes it a step further...

@Nicholas Peyton did you cold prep the board? Do you plan on running with this setup long-term?

I wonder if we got a good overclocking board, like something with 8+2 phases and that chiller, how far could we torture a 5350.

Food for thought, it's a 25w chip to start with.
