While some parents are very strict when it comes to letting their kids get video games, others succumb to the constant "mom buy me this game please!" and don't think anything of it until they hear a barrage of swear words and gore noises coming from the living room. To help parents decide whether or not they should be getting a game before they actually buy it, news site Game Daily has compiled a list of games that are most likely to pervert and offend. In order from most to least offensive, they are...
  • Manhunt 2
  • Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
  • Beowulf (the game)
  • Conan (the game)
  • Gears of War
  • Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
  • Unreal Tournament 3
Please follow the source link for more detailed reasoning behind why Game Daily chose the games that they did.

COD4 is not violent at all. All you do is shoot people... You can turn off blood too...

Pffft, asinine list. Where the hell are the retarded blues clues and barbie games? Those make kids dumber and can potentially lead to suicide from boredom.

Speaking of lunatic children's novels, has anyone in here ever read "The Little Prince"?

It's basically about this kid who's in the middle of a desert, and wants to "return to his planet". How's he do this? He kills himself.

That was a weird book.

and they dont put porn games in that list because???

What an incredibly dumb list. Only 3 of those deserve to be there.

Where's Condemned, FEAR, and Doom 3 for instance? What a joke.

There's a problem right there, you don't consider shooting people to be violent. :twitch::wtf:
Anyway I agree, Call of Duty 4 shouldn't be on a "most offensive games" list, there are far worse.

In Call of Duty 4 I love when the brain blood goes on the walls!!!!

What??!! Shooting people is not violent? Sounds like someone's been desensitized

It's not that violent... if there is no blood, or "death" then it is perfectly ok...

why is beowulf on the list? i have not played it. anyone tell me why? perhaps angelina jolie is naked and getting it in the behind???????:laugh::toast:

sounds like a nice family game to me :)

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

This might look like a patriotic game that will teach the kids American values, but it has an M-rating for a reason. Too-realistic combat that includes disturbing scenes where attack dogs chew out your companion's throats put this war game over the top. Buy the toned-down Nintendo DS version of the game instead, which has a more kid-friendly 'T' (for Teen) rating.

I love the first sentence. If only for this I think this game should stay in the list, but maybe in the 5th place or so.

If you shoot someone and he falls over and doesn't move...Nevermind, I'll stop there lol. I guess you expect kids just think they are shooting 30 round tranquilizer magazines at each other...? Wait then how will you explain "death" when the kid shoots the helicopter pilot in the head with a "tranquilizer dart" and his helicopter falls to the ground and blows up?

Manhunt 2 looks to be the only offensive one. The rest are harmless enough.

game daily forgot sims 2 :p

They forgot pacman. OMG HES EATING GHOSTS

cod4 is so not violent... yes, it has shooting - but apart from a little red spray (which can be turned off) theres nothing to worry about. no gore, no body parts, no swearing... company of heroes opposing fronts, an RTS game has a lot more swearing and violence (fire arty and infantry, hehe) than cod4 does.

that list is BS.
