My Razer Lachesis died(No Warranty) and I am currently using an unfriendly mouse(Logitech Click!) and I want to get a new mouse

What I want and need:

-Ambidextrous
-A Scroll Wheel that will last a very long time(You have no idea how important them scroll wheels are till you lose it)
-A non-slip cover
-Preferably only two buttons and the scroll wheel button
-At least 1000Hz
-At least 2000dpi
-It has to look like a gaming mouse
-Under $80

Though it does have side buttons, I love the SteelSeries Xai.

Personally I love the Razor Deathadder. It has been flawless in performance and has stood the test of time since I got it 2 years ago.

$85~ and higher in my area

I do like the Razer products I just don't want the buttons and I want something that looks like it will last awhile

a gaming mouse WITHOUT side buttons? i don't think i have ever heard of one. i am sure 1khz+ ones exist, just idk and very uncommon.

Logitech G5 mouse, 2 buttons besides the scroll wheel, 1000hz, only 1800 dpi, ergonomic, cheap and has a "gaming look"

iirc g5 has two thumb buttons, two regular buttons, and two sensitivity buttons by the scroll wheel. four buttons too many.

It does not have two regular buttons.
It does have two thumb buttons which I referred to as "buttons", and ofcourse the two sensitivity buttons, which I will not cal lbuttons since they are out of the way of interrupting gameplay and are very small and robust, so you can even rest your fingers on them without pressing them down. In either case I've been using this mouse for approximately 4-5 years if not a little more, I don't even know if they are still in production, at lest not available in denmark

SteelSeries Xai regardless of buttons mines been holding up much better than any razer mouse i have owned. In fact i believe SteelSeries do one without side buttons too.

Kinzu

No one sells it in my area

Isnt a gaming mouse a mouse with the additional buttons to bind ingame actions too?

*cough*85+*cough* dollars in my area...

:(, but i would not know that as seen as you not said were you from or that you could not get the other mouse. Maybe if you said were you were from some one might be able find one even for you.

A gaming mouse is mainly aesthetic with features that improve mouse control(higher dpi, drift control off, higher polling rate)

Although I still dont see dont see why u would get a mouse with no thumb buttons, their so handy.

Bad experience with the Lachesis...If Razer could send me one for Free I would be happy to use it but since the first one broke and I always get robots in tech support...No thanks

It should show where I live Country, State, County

I might just drop the Ambidextrous design stuff

Any personal experiences with Mionix mice?

Well, I am going to drop the bomb here....

I want pretty glowing leds..... :(

Gaming mice to me = Ambidextrous, LEDs, High-End Optical/Infrared Lasers(not that I can tell what they are)

I have always preferred Ambidextrous I just can't use right handed mice ugh

(Logitech Click! is definitely not a gaming grade mouse my wrist hurts and my thumb and pinky are usually bruised after a few hours)
---
I sent an email to Mionix to see if they will ever be getting Ambidextrous mice

I think I found a brand that makes mice that look like gaming mice just look at the scroll wheel!!

Now if only they had an ambidextrous design :(

I looked at Roccat as well

But it just looks angular(I also don't like the mirror finish on the sides)

Every time I get a mirrored finish mouse it always gets this weird Yellow/Brown/White ooze powder all over it

My problem with Kinzu it doesn't look like a gaming mouse except for the logo and scroll wheel(which looks average)

ooh you want a toy then that's easy buy a Razer mouse.

And to my understanding the Kinzu is the same as the XAI but without the side buttons ( and LCD ? ). And if thats so the sides are not glossy their more mat finished.

I tell ya what i do love about the side buttons on a XAI they feel like they are floating on the micro switch unlike the razer mice you feel the plastic around the buttons when you press them most of the time.

Logitech G500 Old faithful

or if you can find one

Logitech MX 518

But it is $90~ I could just cop out and get a Razer Lachesis again but I just don't want to and I don't want to really spend over $80

Logitech MX 518

MX 518 = G400

G400 Awkward to me(My parents computer uses this mouse: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/mice-keyboard-combos/devices/optical-gaming-mouse-g400 )

Any place I have been to always has Ambidextrous mice

I am prone to ambidexterity

I've had a Lachesis and it's rubbish compared to the XAI imo, in fact i THINK i still have it some were to ( i am terrible and throwing crap away lol ). Unless you like the shape better but with any new mouse a little time spent goes a long way.

Deathadder hated side buttons forever catching
Diamondback loved the 1st one i had but only lasted about 14 months and second one the 3G model lasted barely over a year.
Lachesis lasted me 4 months

All of them died with the same fault which was the right mouse button started to double click how ever that is fixable but get annoying after a while of the same fault which is due to crappy plastic..

No LEDS is not really a bad thing and for $40 for that mouse if you don't want the side buttons.

To me the the ZAI is better for below reasons.
Side buttons feel like your just pressing the micro switch
The wheel is actually better
The lazer is centered
mouse settings don't need to be reinstalled as they are stored on the mouse.

You could get a refurb ZAI on egg for $54 :), just make sure you get the 1 year warranty still with it :)...
