Very nice, especially due to the fact that the cooler doesn't seem to be 2-slot :)

Yeah, hopefully nice and cheap because of low demand :D

If they make a DX10 card for AGP I'll be impressed, I honestly thought they were giving up on it after the 7x00 and X1x00 series took so long to become AGP.

This card has been out in Europe for a couple of weeks already. Prices are pretty good. According to specifications, its FASTER than the PCIe16 version. (Because of higher stock clocks :)

Aww.. I was pretty proud on having a X850 XT AGP. I thought it'd be the fastest ATI AGP card out there. Time to start saving again..

Yes the AGP version is faster than the PCI E version!
as stated above, so that other guy is wrong. I was just considering making the move to PCI now I can just grab this instead. I love my MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum board.

how could this be faster...? there is no mention of clockspeeds.

either way it just proves ati wants every last dollar and cent it can get!

There was mention of it running faster clocks than the PCI E version. I will have to look for the link. something like 575 core for PCIE and 600core for the AGP version.

I love the way u say that too. Well duh what is a business suppose to do not want your money, so they can go belly up! The demand is still there for AGP, there are far more AGP board in in use than PCI E.

wrong! ati only makes the chip, gecube does the pcb <---which includes the interface.

If it wasn't made by Ge(cube) I would by one, but i've had bad luck with the cubes in the past. Mostly driver problems but A 1600 I bought was RMA'd twice and still never worked right so I sold it.

ATI will probably make DX10 AGP GPUs which dont completely rely on the processor, unlike nVidia's offering which totally has no chance of making it onto an AGP slot.

I think they should make a specialised range for AGP, not being Radeon

Hah, I'm in the same boat as you =)

Now it has become really tempting to postpone the move to PCIe again :p

NICE NICE NICE NICE NICE NICE!!!

No seriously I think it will perform just as good as its PCI-E equivalents!
AGP 8x wasn't a bottleneck at all when the industry moved on the PCI-E.

If things are the way it has been in the past the agp will be faster just like the X850XTagp was faster than its pcie counterpart. But you also have to take in consideration that all the faster cpus are made for the newer mb that use the pcie slot. The only reason I changed over to pcie was to get a faster vid card if they would have put these out sooner I would not have changed for at least another year. Ive got the X1950pro now and I like it. Its not the best overclocker Ive ever owned but it is fast. The only drivers out at the moment are Ati and ati tool doesnt recognize the card yet. You guts probably already know this but here is a good comparison chart on the vid cards.
