So which one is better for starting college do yall think?

My vote is with Lenovo, the two HP computers I've had in the past have had problems (yes they were old crappy things but I just don't trust them). From a couple of friends I have who are both better at computers than I am (I would say I'm average, they're both highly knowledgeable) they both like Lenovo. And if they're willing to get the HP, why not upgrade the Lenovo to be the same or similar specs?

The thing is, if i dont have to get vista, then i wont. but im just not sure of it yet. cuz windows 7 is just 2 years away...if they dont push dates back...

I know the release date for Windows 7 has been changed a couple of times (once to a different year, once back to 2k10 that I know of) but after how the release of Vista went I wouldn't be jumping at the chance to try a new MS operating system.

I know, thats why im trying to stay with xp, but my parents dont quite get it...:banghead:

Well if you search around on the web (I think there is an article on here) MS got a big federal lawsuit against them concerning Vista, so that might help parent's realize it isn't quite up to spec, and after talking to one of the aforementioned friends, he says he has heard a few things about the R series and if possible upgrade to the T series.

yeah, i tried that, but idk...all i know is that i got till the 20th to place the order or else im stuck with vista...so im prolly just gonna price em out and see what happens
