yesterday i got a new LED monitor.
Samsung BX2231.
LED.
Full HD Resolution.
2 Ms Response Time.
Contrast 5.000.000 : 1.

and when i play PES 2011, there are still a ghosting problem.
like my old monitor that has a 5 MS response time.

monitor with 2 ms response time should be better for playing PES, and there are no ghosting problem.

what's wrong with my monitor ?
or my driver vga ? (i've tried ctalyst 10.10 and 10.12 and still have a ghosting problem)

my computer :
Core i7 860
Ram 4 Gb
Powercolor 6870 PCS++

please help me about this..

thanks. :D

are you using a vga socket from monitor if you are thats probably why it looks abit soft, if the monitor has a dvi socket use it, it will be much sharper.

or like i had with a 42" panasonic i brought when i got it home it was ghosting badly and just didnt look right. i had it on for afew hours then went to bed (was going to take it back next day). when i turned it on next day it was perfect and as been perfect ever since.

what is your refresh rate set to?

i'm using a HDMI port.
my monitor doesn't have DVI input

only have

D sub, and two HDMI

what is your refresh rate set to?

set to 60 hz.

can't set above 60 hz for 1920 x 1080p

any overdrive control features in the osd or something similar?

yes.

in OSD there are changing response time option.

Normal
Faster (Default 2 MS)
Fastest

fastest is only for HDMI input like PS 3 / Xbox 360.
if i use fastest in PC.
there are like shadowing effect when i close the window (such as my document , my computer.)

i've tried all the response time option, but there are still a ghosting problem when i playing PES. :(

Can you upload a video of the effect ?

I think is maybe your game. Maybe it has some blur activated or something?? I find it strange, since I have a 12ms response time monitor, and no ghosting problems at all. ;)

i'll upload it, soon.

can you share to me , how to fix the strange (blur or something ) ?
cause i'm almost every day changing game setting, vga setting. and there are still a ghosting problem. :(

Or did you play with the LCD Overdrive function in ATI Catalyst Control Center???

A video would definitely help. I know you are talking about ghosting, but a 2ms screen, its a bit tough. Are you sure its ghosting and not frames skipping? Cause I know if I play PES without vsync, it is a horrible experience, full of screen tearing.

try playing the game at a lower res (1366x768, or 1680x1050) and higher refresh rate and see if that stops the ghosting, if so then its your lower refresh rate at the higher res.

I take it you're noticing the smearing problem when movement is panning across the monitor?

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about this, so there's no solution. It's inherent in LCD technology, so all LCD monitors do this - even your old monitor, even if you think it wasn't

The effect can be reduced a little bit by driving the monitor at 120Hz if possible and some overdrive features can sometimes do so too, usually at the expense of various motion artifacts.

The only time I have seen it totally eliminated was when using my 120Hz monitor in 3D mode using the 3D Vision glasses, because the shutter effect gets rid of it.

The only way to truly get rid of it in general use is to use a CRT monitor, if possible.
