Cool, but a shame it doesn`t work with ATI HD 4800 series

DirectCompute on NV8...i thought DirectCompute was a DirectX11 feature...or the banchmark uses CUDA?

Direct Compute 5.0 is a DX11 feature, DC 4.0 and 4.1 are respectively DX10 and 10.1.
It seems like ATi haven't release drivers for the HD4k and 3k series yet.

Edit: Results

9.11 beta should have the drivers

awww, i want it to work on ATI 4K series :(

if it dosen't work with the GTX285 it might not work with the 8 or 9 series either I haven't tried it yet either o.O

It works on my 8800GT, Win7 RC 7100. make sure you have the latest DX runtime, it gave me an error before I updated: DX11blablabla.dat is missing or something like that.

Doing some more benchmarks now.

Hmmm interesting results ...

I'll do a run with SLI disabled see if it's a multi-gpu capable bench.

EDIT:
SLI Disabled/DX11 Checked

SLI Enabled/DX11 Checked

I score lower with SLI enabled.

Ok, after having launch I ran the benchmark. Here my results.

My multi-threaded score seems to be ok according to readme scores, but ST seem too low. Maybe the Q6600 on stock is too slow.

JrRacin, your scores are even lower overall compared to mines and those in readme, maybe it's the drivers? I'm using WHQL drivers.

BTW: I am the only one who would have apreciated some kind of graphical representation of what's going on, like som particles or something at least? :)

I'm taking that into consideration. Downloading 191.07's right now.

Amazing what different drivers do.

@Benetanegia

What cpu are you running?

I wonder if my old GS would do good even.

here are my results, I'm using the OpenCL drivers:

I wonder what happens with Nvidia cards and single threaded test. I first though the plummet happened in G92 only, but GT200 apparently falls too.

@AthlonX2 the checkbox is for forcing single threading, both are DX11. DX11 is multi-threded bu default.

Although discussed in another forum this program is not optimized/designed with AMD hardware in mind. Which is why the 5800 series scores are lower then 8800. Which should be obvious. Those with AMD hardware should ignore this program.

Can you link to that forum please? I'm interested.

When I find it again I'll let you know.

At lease in Single Thread performance, the 5800s crush the nVidia cards.

ASUS HD5850, single card, Stock clocks on new v0.25.

Dunno, what the heck happened to CPU benchmark used to be around 8000-10000p at v0.15. Using Q9450 at 3,7Ghz.

new scores:
GPU: M36376
CPU: M1165

XFX5850 @ 920/1250
