Checked with a "980 Ti" search, didn't see any other posts about folks listing their 980Ti cards and OC's they've reached - If I overlooked it, let me know.

Right now with most of the family sick and working two jobs, I need to lift my spirit a bit and I felt like bragging about my 980Ti. Anyone else wants to brag about theirs, feel free to post your info.

I'm posting a pic of my Heaven 4.0 benchmark and my GPU-Z Validation, as well as listing my CPU info. Feel free to include any other pics/benchmarks.

If you use Heaven, the settings to use should be default ones of:
API: DX 11
Quality = Ultra
Tessellation = Extreme
AA = 8x
Full Screen = Yes
Resolution = 1920x1080

CPU: i5-4670k stock
GPU: GTX 980Ti AMP! Omega Edition

Omega stock clocks speeds:
Core = 1178 w/ boost to 1279
Memory = 1755

Max stable OC I've been able to keep through the Heaven 4.0 benchmark:
Core = 1338 w/ boost to 1439
Memory = 1835

GPU-Z Validation: (link = http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/details.php?id=5xkaw )

i did say this elsewhere but your card is actually boosting to 1514 not 1439.. afterburner shows its true boost speed at any time.. gpu-z dosnt..

1514 is pretty good on the stock bios..

trog

1500MHz max boost, 7800MHz memory on both of my GTX 980 Ti Gaming LE. water cooled with EK waterblocks.

Gpu-z doesnt show real boost in the sensor tab? !

in the sensor tab it does just not on the main screen..

All of these cards top out around 1475-1525. Below 1475, you lost the lottery, above 1525, you have won the lottery.

Yeah, I'm game stable at 1500/7800 - rock solid. Benched up to 1551 core and 8292 memory on Heaven thread. OP should go post there for results on the bench thread.

lets not forget yours is a specially binned top of the range card.. which aint in the same league as "all these cards".. personally i dont think they will all go quite that high..

most should hit 1450 stable some may go higher on the stock bios..

but 50 mhrz here or there aint gonna be noticeable in the real world so it dosnt matter that much..

Agree on the 50hz difference having practically zero real world effect. On the binning front, they were all binned more for LN2. On air or under water the Kingpins are close to most other 980ti cards. Maxwell's problem is specifically temperature, it scales very well at sub zero temps, so for me, the LC is for noise reasons. Plus the cards single slot design.

This... KPE was binned for cold which is different than air... what is great for air, generally isn't great for LN2 and vice versa.

Again, 1475-1525 is where most of these land in the bell curve regardless of what type of card it is. A lot of you believe the binning process goes a lot more deep than it really does from the factory. ;)

If you are wondering, my experience comes from the 5 cards we reviewed and looking at countless other reviews as well as threads like the Heaven one here.

Cold binned cards are typically some of the worst air clocking cards... They are higher loss cards which means hotter running.

The max that I could get on my EVGA FTW edition card was 1551 on the core stable. Have not really messed with the memory clock that much. This is all on air, want to get a EKWB water block for my 980ti. What do you guys usually get on the memory?

Water isn't going to help much bud.. not without giving it more voltage and messing with the bios/power limits. :)

I found my max on water was about 1550 as well. That was benchmark but not game stable. The Maxwell chip doesn't like anything much over 50 degrees. Not worth the investment unless you want a noise free experience.

Yeah, I might just save up and wait for the new 1080 ti instead, looks promising! :)

I hope you are running at least a 2560x1440 120hz monitor for a 1080ti... otherwise, get a 1080.

Yeah, would be major overkill for a 1080p monitor. Im playing on a 4K @ 60hz monitor, but can switch it to 1440p 120hz.

If it is a full coverage block you might not get much higher than 1550 on the core...but your memory will go higher.

How much of a performance boost will you get from OC memory? Is it worth higher temps?

It can be. Depends on your card and if it can even do that high of mem overclock. I have seen cards hit over 2.1GHz on mem with good cooling.

Alright, I will try to OC it as much as I can and come back with the results.
Thanks

My GTX 980 Ti graphics card maximum reach stable 1550 MHz core and 8000 MHz memory and i can play 4k between 40-45 FPS in the city but advanced settings all of them is open when i enter the grasses it is going down to 30-35 FPS average it is very good graphics card my card has got stock bios
