I bought a used from Amazon last year. HGST Ultrastar He8 Helium (HUH728080ALE601) 8TB 7200RPM 128MB cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3,5" Enterprise-harddrive. I first got messages about wrong size but after i installed Intel Intel Rapid Storage Technology, v.10.1.0.1008, A00 it seems fine. It was for Windows 7 but it seems to work with Windows 8.1 pro to. The RST update should be for Alienware M11x R3. What Alienware has T3500? There is a myth about LBA 32 bit only being capable to write for 2tb and the rest off the disk it writes to the same 2tb. But mine seems to write all data since i have had the disk since October 2023 and all files seems to work. Is there any disks i cannot have in this old machine? I will buy another 8tb or bigger and i thought if there is any special functions in newer drives that my T3500 cannot handle?
