HD 6950 cooler Recommendations?

Looking for a cooler for my reference HD6950, anyone seen or currently using something good? :toast:

There are a few out there, I am using the Gelid Icy Vision rev 2 which is a good blend of price/performance and I am very pleased with it, probably the best (or at least up there with the best) is the Thermalright Shaman but that is a bit more pricey, either one will do a good job, more case and mobo space needed for the Shaman though. My Gelid runs at 100% fan speed when I game and thats the equivilent in noise roughly to the reference cooler at about 45%, at that speed I idle at 27C and highest is about 52C on full load, thats with an overvolted and fully flashed to HD6970 card.

thanks for the suggestions, saw the gelid and the accellero and both look pretty decent....have 2 of the accelero L2's on the mrs's 5770's and the fans seem pretty short lived as 1 has already had to be replaced and the other is starting to slow up a bit, but at least they are replaceable

Hah. Your load is my singlecard idle. Considering our cards are the same, but mine has double the ram, that's pretty good!

I am a proud user of trhe Accelero Xtreme II Plus on an radeon HD6970 @ 1000gpu 1500 ram 1.231v. The highest reading on the Gpu is 52°C on the core. Fans on 100% and silent!!! I love it!

May have found my heat issue, looked like the cat puked something up under the card cover. There was a thick pile of dust and some other unidentified stuff packed into the heatsink right after the fan. Card is staying under 50C in games now but will probably still get a new cooler as the stock cooler cover is a PIA to remove :roll:
