hi friends at TPU! yesterday i tried to upgrade my case from an Thermaltake M9 (like 10 years old) t oa more recent one Bitfenix NEOS

and do some testo to se temps on the system but playing any game gives me this temps, actually the case gets really hot and dont know about the sutuff inside if all is going to burn, the specs are
Fx 8320 125W + XFX R9 390 non OC edition +3 fans on the case 2 intake 1 outtake + PSU is extremely cool cause its on the bottom - mobo is an Gigabyte 970 almost hit 40 degrees on full load. so im sad to be honest on those temps, dunno if theyre normal, rig never crashed in the 2 hours spent gaming but this is worring me.

oh i forgot the cooler is an Artic Cooling 7 pro v2

thanks a lot for your time and help just look at the screenshot.

Everything seems OK, except CPU.
What cooling are you using and what were the temps on the CPU before you switched the case?

Also have you tried to re-seat the CPU heatsink and/or check if thermal compound footprint is uniform on the heatsink (no empty/dry spaces or trapped air bubbles)?

Cooler; Artic 7 pro rev 2 installed not so long ago like 3 months, temps before were 60 on the other case (maybe the top mounted psu were helping to get the air out but at the cost of more temp workload?)
CPU cooler cant be re acommodated cause cooler logic amd only can be top, down, intel left right top bottom.
thermal paste is intact cause it comes with the cooler

Yep. That orientation sucks and there are no top vents in Bitfenix Neos...

Is it possible to flip it upside-down (fan pulls from the bottom)?

EDIT: BTW, the instruction manual also shows bottom-up mounting for AMD sockets (fan facing the GPU)

thats the problem, the Fan is already on that direction (bottom to top sucking air from GPU side) any idea? looks like im going back to my 10 year old case T_T

I'd do that too, unless you want to drill some holes and make a top-fan mounts for the bitfenix....

I think a time-proven Antec 900 would be a perfect case for your rig, or pretty much anything with a top fan/top vent.

Also Arctic 7 Pro is not really that good and there were many complaints about its rated 150W heat dispersion rate, so I'd rather switch it to something better, like an AIO.

change cooler.
in order to work properly with amd cpus this cooler needs top vents on case (to suck fresh air or to dump hot depending on fan direction).
cm 212 evo or thermalright matcho rev. b will do it and they arent too expensive

edit: and ya top mounted psu in old case did the job of top vent

To me that NEOS sucks compared to that TT case, would of been much better off buying a dremel and tweaking the TT case and check if you could find the extra drive bays so you could add more fans tot he front.

The cpu cooler fans need to be facing front to back, to blow over the VRM section. facing them up and down won't help.

ok guys, tnx all for your help i concluded the neos sucks at cooling, went back to my old TT and now look at this temps on gaming.
looks like im going to stick on the M9 for more time, meanwhile i get a better cooling case!

I have a Source 210 for my secondary system. By far, that is my favorite "budget" case of all. Good cable management, good air flow, plenty of room, and over-all a well built inexpensive case that normally can be found on sale for around $30.

From performance ratings I came across, the Hyper 212+ cools better over the Corsair H50 (not by much, but enough to make you cringe at the idea of spending an extra $30 on the H50 over the 212+).

My old case, Cooler Master Cosmos 1000, had okay airflow. It wasn't great for intake, but exhaust fans are plentiful. I had the 212+ installed for about a year and it worked well. I could OC my PII x4 940 to 3.6 on 1.525V with temps right at 60C. I happened to come across a weekend sale at Best Buy (yes, Best Buy - who would have thought they sold something somewhat useful?) where they had the H50 half off, so I picked one up for $30 (instead of the normal $60 they sold for).

The H50 provided better cooling for my CPU than the Hyper 212+ did. I was able to hit 3.71GHz with lower voltage of 1.5125V and also had the temps never break 58C.

If the case you got doesn't have as good air flow maybe you should look towards an AIO water cooler....just an idea.
