Help me pick a LCD display please.

Go with the first one, 22" screen + 2ms response times = :D.
 
Would you see the difference between 2 and 5 ms?
 
Prolly not, but for 8 pounds, why not? The lower the response time, the sharper the image, so you should love it :).

In my opinion, anything less than 8ms is good, but why not go all the way to 2ms and be happy :D.
 
I would go with the Acer or maybe the asus.. prob the acer though. does that one par up in specs? I know Asus support sucks but that dont mean everything especially with a monitor. I thin the acer looks the best of all 3 of them.

Edit yeah who knows if they use gray to gray or black to white for their responce time. 2ms = safe.
 
Yeah i like the look of the Acer to. But i haven't seen it in real life.
I'm gonna look tomorrow if the screen is solid. If it feels plastic i'm gonna buy the Asus.

Also the Asus has ''Zero Bright Dot Policy'' They will replace the screen within a day for 30 days if the screen has more broken pixels then is allowed.

Either the Acer or the Asus.
I would go with the Acer since it is a higher quality brand than the Asus.

Also, I would suggest against getting a 22".
I would suggest either getting a 20.1" or an 24".

The reason for that is bc all 22" use TN panels are do not have as great of quality as the 20.1" or the 24".

But is a 20.1'' a great difference in size compared to a 19''?
And a 24'' is way to expensive for me.:)
 
Isnt Contrast 1000 : 1 better then contrast: 700:1 ??

Would it matter if i say that use my monitor also as a tv in my bedroom.
And i watch a lot of movies.:laugh: That's why i like the widescreens.
But i believe you if regarding the image quality. My friend has a 19'' widescreen and my 19'' IIyama has better image quality.:ohwell:

About the price you want to pay, I know your in the netherlands, but it will not be much more in price, maybe even cheaper than rip off britain and its got great reviews! 3000:1, 2ms, etc...

I want 1, but I also want to get through my bike test :(

If you want to use it as a TV too why dont you just get an HDTV and use it as a computer screen as well.
LCD TVs have better contrast ratios and sharper colors.
For a budget I would look at Westinghouse or Vizio TVs since they are cheap, but good ones
 
Yeah but the resolution sucks on most of them.
Then i have to pay 600/700 euro to get a decent one.
Plus i don't like sitting in front of such a huge display.

Pound != Euro. Though for a few Euros extra I'd go for the lower response time, even though you won't really notice it.
 
I can get the LG for 310 euro. And the Acer for 275. I'm just waiting for someone to buy my 19" IIyama.:ohwell:

I love my samsung 204B <3

20", 1600x1200, 2ms. (Which is really just marketing for a 5ms screen anyways.)

I watch movies all the time!

But for games, a widescreens junk. Not all games support it, and if it doesn't... well you're gonna have a crappy looking game.

I dunno, I never liked widescreen for a desktop. A normal ratio screen gives you overall more area, where a wide screen is a bit more space concious.. great for laptops.

And how much does contrast say. Is 700:1 good?

The term gaming monitors is not usually solely based on response time.
So if it has a low response time they usually call it a "gaming server".

700:1 is around the standard for a monitor these days.
LG is the only ones that have higher than average contrast.

The higher the contrast, the better they are for viewing movies.
 
I wish i could buy the LG in black. They only sell the grey ones here and don't like the light grey color.:mad:
 
The Acer has very bad viewing angle like 140 degree or so. It looks decent but the color is washed out.
