I have two mobo's here and would like advice which one to install for a gaming PC

Asus P5K premuim wifi which is a P35 mobo and has a 1.1 PCI-E slot

or a Biostar I45 Tpower with a 2.0 PCI-E slot

Thats two nice mobos ya get there. I agree with LittleLizard go with the biostar mainly due to Its more powerful P45 chipset.

The P45 chipset gives you better performance in games using a single video card . Also better performance for crossfire setup , since you get x8 crossfire . the Asus P5K premium does x4 if im not mistaking . Doesn`t matter if the PCIE is 1.1 if it`s running at x16 speed ( single gtx9800 for example ), but you may have some performance drops with newer generation video cards ( GTX260 , HD4870 ) . You won't get the maximum performance in this case . Use the Biostar I45 Tpower .

Again..... can only be the TPower, the P35 was a good chipset but 16 x 4 in crossfire @ PCI-E 1.1 just dont get close to 8 x 8 in PCI-E 2.0, with weaker cards you would notice the difference less because you may not be pushing the bandwidth limits but anything mid to high then P45 is the way to go.
