Motherboard: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=25369 Planning to overclock an E4500 on air. Although I might resurrect my dangerden kit and buy a waterblock instead -- suggestions for a waterblock?

RAM (???): The problem is I'm not sure which RAM to buy. The store doesn't sell DDR2 RAM. I don't know if PC2 is the same thing? Any recommendations from NCIX?

Processor: E4500 http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=25412 Is Dual Core as good as Core 2 Duo, or is it the same thing?

Power Supply: OCZ GameXStream 700W: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=18185

Videocard
: Some random brand GeForce 8800 GT any recommendations on a brand?

DVD-reader/burner: Any recommendations?

Case: I'll be ordering a mid-tower Lian-Li at my local computer store.

Harddrive: Existing 320 GB and I forgot the brand

It'll be my first serious build, my first build was 400 bucks and I didn't do any gaming on it. It was a big waste of money. Game to waste my life on: Hellgate London :D and possibly Starcraft 2.

The motherboard is great, I have one, running my quad at 3.7GHZ no problem. It does have some vdroop, so watch that. The processor is a tad weak, but if you get it to around 3.5GHZ, it will do much better. The ram is decent, I am not sure how well it will overclock though.

All in all, it's a damn fine build. It should do you well.

Edit:

I would recommend hot gluing a 40MM fan to the northbridge, or getting a better heatsink, it tends to run very hot with the passive cooling.

I'll see what my newb ass can do with the OC. I ordered a Zalman CNPS9700NT with it. I'm still scared about OCing though...

About the northbridge, how hot exactly ?
