Hello, I would like some help in undervolting a 12700H. I'm new to undervolting, tried following some tutorials here and there, but the performance is still bad, either due to thermal throttling or me going too far with the undervolt. Any help would be appreciated, as I've tried messing with the TPL values but I'm pretty sure I didn't do a good job. The spike in the temperature shown in the last pic were recorded in-game. Cheers.

undervolting a 12700H
That is not going to happen. Intel removed the undervolt feature from the 12th Gen and newer mobile H series processors. That is why the top middle of the FIVR window shows Not Available. Only the mobile HX processors still support undervolting.

Both turbo power limits are set to 75W. If the cooling cannot handle a 75W CPU, it will reach the thermal throttling temperature and will be forced to slow down. Some Acer laptops set a lower power limit internally. This is managed by an embedded controller (EC).

The Speed Shift Max value does not look quite right.

The maximum turbo speed for a 12700H is 4.70 GHz. I would expect the Speed Shift Max value to be at least 47. When the Acer software is set to Default, it might be limiting the maximum CPU speed. Try using the Acer Performance setting for maximum performance.

Run and attach a log file after a gaming session. It will show how your computer is running.

I see. I'll attach a log file later today. In the meantime, is there anything else I could do in order to boost performance with minimal temperature changes? Increase the PL Values, SpeedShift EPP, anything like that?

I would undervolt GPU, that will help CPU during load since they share heatpipes. Try flat curve in afterburner at 1500@700mv. For a bit more performance try 1600@750mv.

Without voltage control you are very limited. Increase the power limits and you will increase the CPU temperature.

Did you find out what Acer setting is limiting the Speed Shift Max value? Manufacturers like throttling the max CPU speed to create fake cool and quiet type settings.

Didn't quite find it, but the odd thing is that the Speed Shift Max Value randomly changes to 60 every now and then, without me changing anything.

I have never played around with a H series mobile CPU so I am not 100% sure what causes the Speed Shift Max value to change.

ThrottleStop reads the maximum Speed Shift value directly from the CPU. It is possible that some manufacturer's software is able to change this value. I think it is more likely that the CPU itself can reduce the maximum Speed Shift value. When lightly loaded the CPU might decide that it is really not necessary for the CPU to be running at its maximum possible speed.

Try running a simple test like Cinebench. Watch to see if that value changes. Hopefully at full load the CPU allows itself to run at its full rated speed. I believe that ThrottleStop reads and updates that value in real time. You can close and re-open the TPL window to double check for any changes.
