How do i found out what "unknown device"

How can i find out what the unknown device is under computer management?

Account for all your devices, see which ones appear in device manager, whatever is not accounted for is it. If you don't have all drivers or your chipset drivers installed it could be anything from a firwire/usb hub to integrated audio/video/Lan.

Yes, updating mobo chipset drivers (.inf) should solve the issue. It's the System Management Bus controller for things like temp, voltage,fan, monitoring hardware.

To find out what it is just Google it.

don't hear any thing alse call csi (las vegas they are the best) and leave them to do the job

right click on the device, go to properties, and get the Hardware ID.

Don't remember exactly where in properties it's found on your windows, but in vista it's in the details tab, and change the dropdown box to Hardware ID's. With or without drivers, that will tell you exactly what it is.
