i would say like everyone else 2 or 4gb ram atleast even for 32bit, it makes a difference from 1gb.

and if u want a boost in boot up, set windows to use all 4 cores.

The current pc i am using now is hell lot of slow.

It takes like 10 minutes to open up , and other 5 minutes to turn it off:p

when i am trying to open for first time google chrome it takes like 5 minutes.

The cpu gadget is showing up that ituses 95% of my ram all the time.

The pc i am using now is kinda sucks.

This is my computer specs:
1GB RAM
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @2.40 GHZ

My os now is windows 7 should i downgrade to windows XP?
I mean i can't work like this:(

I had a problem with my new pc and i must use this till it the problem is fixed.

Don't touch windows. 7 is the best to date. 2GB RAM and an SSD will give you a full speed PC. Q6600 is nice for the jobs you say. Don't spend to change anything else. I did it in my PC with the SSD and win7 64bit and it is perfect now.

id say xubuntu. or linuxmint xfce. if you want even lighter, puppy linux, lubuntu

Definitely Lubuntu or Xubuntu. You can even go LinuxMint XFCE or Debian edition. You can try Crunchbox if you can handle the GUI. But for an out of the box...90% all hardware working setup......LinuxMint.
