Runs mint on my ancient setup. No problems.

well everything was good untill i upgraded to a 5950x just after christmas and the pc started hard rebooting while playing vr so after messing about for 48 hrs with no joy so i decided to go back to 23 and everything good.

??

The newer ones blue screen 9 times out of 10 on 24H2, the older version 10 does not. The newer ones just have bug fixes and updates.
and maybe it's all about 24H2, not CPUZ. I haveproblem with Roblox gaming platform client with 24H2, it perfectly works on another modern Windows builds LOL

Another user stated cpuz was blue screening, mine does also. Not sure. But version 10 of cpuz does not.

I'm not saying it's solely 24H2 but it may just need a update to cpuz to co-exist better.

My 5 weeks wait period was over for windows 11 pro today.

Yesterday i downlaoded from computerbase.de/downloads the current w11 update packages

I just installed just one of those two update files.
windows11.0-kb5050009-x64_97aac2ab4f607b11d50ad2fd88a5841ee0b18dd5.msu
windows11.0-kb5050021-x64_d1c06c1c0d32a7ff8879f1e2a386d26df113a227.msu

expected behaviour - tested on the Desktop folder (how it should be - explain it - so everyone understands the issue)
A newly created folder when it's deleted vanish instantly. It's gone.

Still the same bug - after the windows update with the big montly udpate package.

Screenshot 2025-01-16 073904.png

The folder can be deleted, but it is still visible.

I even waited a reasonable time amount.

Bug: There is a need to press F5 key to get the real folder content.

Expected behaviour:

for the Desktop folder where I checked - the folder content is updated instantly after the folder was deleted.

The usual behaviour for a file explorer like caja, nautilus, mc - when a file is permanently deleted - the file is gone. A folder is also a file in terms of a file system.

I do expect more nearly end of january 2025 for a "professional" windows operating system which is paid software.

I also want to show proof, that those guys who write everything is fine since day 1, are just lucky (...... are just wrong .... wrong is just a hard - hard - harsh word)

First of all - why are you downloading an ISO from a non-MS server? o_O

Second, this can also happen in older versions of Windows, as the automatic refresh may be faulty. Here are 5 quick fixes:
  1. Check Background Refresh: Open File Explorer Options (three dots menu) and ensure "Background refresh" is enabled.
  2. Clear File Explorer Cache: Same Options menu, navigate to "Clear" under "Search history".
  3. Restart File Explorer: Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc, find "Windows Explorer", right-click and "Restart".
  4. Update Windows: Outdated OS can cause glitches. Check for updates in Settings > Update & Security.
  5. Registry Fix (Advanced): Search online for "Enable Background Refresh Windows 11 Registry" (expert users only). These should get your automatic refresh back on track!

I recently came back from Windows 11 24h2, after trying again to give it a chance, again, for my usage - mostly GAMING.

5800x3d / 4070 / 32 GB 3600MHZ.

Overall, compared to Windows 10 22h2, even on desktop usage - opening / closing windows, launching Firefox browser etc - general usage I find it arguably slower.

I think it's related to the new Window manager (with those new visual effects) or something.

I'm also having issue when alt-tabbing in certain games - ISSUE which doesn't happen on Windows 10! This is very annoying!

Below video when trying to alt-tab from CS2: (basically, it won't alt-tab)

Also note that ALT-TABBING is also way slower than on Windows 10...
