I kinda can say that I own three... my HTPC isn't ready yet but I still count it. :) My gaming PC, laptop and the coming HTPC.

Way too many! If you want a number its 13. Its gotten to the point where I am taking machines into work and putting them to use there as they would just be sitting around in a box or closet at home.
For a breakdown:
7 Win Desktops
3 Win Laptops
1 Mac Mini
2 MacBooks

And those are just the ones that are on and used. Ive also got 3 different ChromeOS devices, and 2 Win Desktops that are in pieces right now (K6-III skt7 & Turion ML-34 skt 754)

I see many people write test PC's. Are those for testing hardware components of software? I'm curious.

Does this ask how many currently? or maybe the most at one time?

or how about how many you have that belong to others?

does this count have to working only or would that include non-working

ok how about the one being stored for parts? or those without an OS pending the sale of the PC?

So many questions! I cant take the stress! :banghead: :respect: :twitch:

One rig for gaming mainly, one 'work' gaming machine, one Pentium II which I fire up occasionally for old times' sake and a laptop that I never use, except when travelling, ha ha.
There are two others in the house which I built for my wife and stepson.

Well I know I would built at least one from let over parts (Intel Core i7-870, Asus Maximus III Formula).

I got my main rig as in the system specs, my retro xp machine, laptop and a Intel ComputeStick 2gen and this might be it really use to have more parts but not really any more because if I do I will be broke

Yeah, Test PC. Is usually a working PC you can swap parts with to text bed on. I have several different socket ones as I used to buy bad motherboards n fix them(before socket2011V2)which smoke now if you got one pin out of wack.

Too many.

No laptops for me, only the real stuff I can upgrade/expand/improve/tinker with.

You could also do those on a laptop such as swapping out the storage drive, RAM, USB peripherals, power adapter, etc. To a certain extent, it is also possible to swap out the GPU, CPU and mobo.

If you are looking to deck laptops with RGB, you could put a bunch of RGB lighting around the laptop & maybe sprinkle some glitter on it too. :slap: :twitch:

I test Windows updates, OS tweaks, command line changes and also test older hardware on my test PC.

One desktop, one retro desktop (Q9400) and an iPad.

3. wifes laptop, kids laptop and my gaming rig.

I dig the collection. I have an old core 2 duo pc laying around somewhere. :). but your laptop listed as "Powerful Laptop" made me cringe and laugh at the same time. An i5 and a 1050ti 4gb card isnt powerful. in fact the asus rog 2 gaming phone has more power.

I figure it's more powerful than all of my other laptops. "Powerful" is a relative term.

Very true. Like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. :)

this made me think it was typed by Butters lmmfao. But if we did an "how many pc's have you owned in your life" or "how many computers have you built" then those would be great threads. :)

1 Primary Rig
4 X58 Builds which are in the basement + lot of hardware enough to build at least another 5 X58.

1,2,3.4........Oh wait, about 8 or 9 desktops......

Oh crap, 1,2,34..........na, about 6 laptops.

Jesus, now you're making me feel like a hoarder!!

Not to mention the boxes and boxes of old motherboards and AGP crap and DDR, DDR2 and old crap I have!!!!!!!!

I just realized I have enough parts to build two more desktops minus the cases. With another power supply three all together. Also still have a 14” Toshiba Sandy Bridge laptop sitting unused.

1 main, 2 crunchers, 1 small form factor and 1 laptop.
thats it:)
wife wont let me have more.

I almost wrote the same thing in my original post. My laptop is more powerful than my desktops combined but thought it might be powerful in my eyes only. I have an i7 with a 1050ti 4gb. Considering how I was paying it off for 18 months I consider it still powerful, even thou I know for the same price today you can get an i7 9750H with at least a 2060 mobile.
