Mine just went up to $75 and service quality just down 20%...and yeah I have roadrunner turbo with generic POWERBOOST

I hate Time Warner, but I bitched enough about the service they're giving me the turbo for 34.95 for as long as I want. I'd recommend making some calls.

I would like to see the numbers on how much Throttling helps. I find it stupid, "Hey buy our extreme package! Get high Speed 50x Faster than anyone! Then get throttled down once you exceed you maximum speed by 75% for 15minutes and get throttled for the next 15! Oh 250GB limit reached! Sorry wait till next month!"

Ahhh but thing is, when I am throttled its to 100kbs, which is a massive pain.

Unlimited, apparently, but i downloaded my whole steam (was about 40GB) when i got my PC... so that capped us to 56kb for the week...

Darn't download anything illegal (unless it has little seeders) as they are the leaders of anti-piracy.

Want to get a better internet (Sky) but my area is a village and the guy from Sky said there no chance of the area being upgraded before 2011.

And the ISP in question... well who... Virgin Media

Well, I've got a €33/month package...

- All fixed landline calls are free
- Included is internet @ 4Mbps with 25GB download limit
- 400 free minutes when calling from cellphone to 3 pre-chosen numbers
- Some TV package but I don't care what it is since only hubby watches TV

I'm a cheeky badger and use a couple of cloned modems with load balancing on virmin media.

It's hard to set up and doesn't work 100% all of the time, but its good for torrents, etc. When i want to game i just run the one modem tho.

But it only works in cable areas, if you have adsl only then forget it lol.

I'm ADSL... and a pathetic version at that. I'll have a gander though. Either my net, router or bitcomet is fail as i've portforwarded hundreds of times and i still get like 17 out of 18,000 seeders...

Here in Aus, you cant get Unlimited Broadband downloads unlike the USA, so you have to look around for the best possible speed/amount of downloads possible for your area. In my area i can only run ADSL 1 which means i can go only to a max speed of 1500/256.

So i am with EXETEL 1500/256 Speed with 72GB a month download usage for $45.

Parents are with Internode 1500/256 speed 50GB a month download usage for $50. (There next door so i leech of theres to )
