Hello everyone,
I recently bought an Asus GTX750-PHOC 2G GDDR5 graphics card.
When I installed the original driver package from the accompanying CD-ROM, I noticed the Physx is not checked! by looking at the accompanying GPU-Z bundle , of which you can see the screen shot below:

I also tried a newer version of GPU-Z that I had, and that reported the physx is installed!

I ran 3DMark professional physx tests, and I got like 9 fps in one of the tests ( the rest I would get 90~120 fps)

Please note that I updated the driver to the latest today to see if this problem is solved, but I couldnt verify that by myself.

Now how can I check if everything is fine? How much fps should I be getting when running a physx test?

note 2 :
When Trying to update the driver, I faced an error indicating the installer couldnt find "WIS8A809006C25A4A3A9DAB94659BCDB107_9_10_0224.MSI" and wanted me to find it manually, which since this didnt exist on my system I cancel it and the installation went on to get finished.!
Again I tried Installing the new driver this time I chose the advanced menu and checked the clean option as well, and no error message popped up like before.
I dont know whether the installation was 100% successful, and Physx is indeed installed completely.

Thanks in advance

It's not physx per se, its a physics portion of the benchmark that runs using your CPU and CPU only.
Apart from that, the driver CD that you usually get with your graphics card is only bin worthy, so its always best to get the latest ones from the manufacturers website.

Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time.

It says if it is enabled in your nvidia driver control panel.

Get msi kombustor, there's a phyx test for both cpu and gpu, if you run gpu note that it says "gpu" on the test instead of "cpu", why? because i have phyx installed but have an r9 290 and when i run the "gpu" phyx test it goes to the "cpu" test instead.

MSi Kombustor

Note: it says phyx device CPU.

I updated the driver today, still dont know how I can verify the physx is installed correctly and working well ( and not being partially installed or malfunctioning )

So how to check it for real?

Thanks, I'll give this a try, by the way how should I know if its working properly? I mean if the physx is not properlly installed will it crash or will it give poor fps? if the later one is the case, how low the fps is a sign of a faulty physx driver?

Driver CD? Manuals? What are those?

If you run the gpu test and it says that the device used for phyx is the GPU then your all set, otherwise check the phyx setting on nvidia's control panel and check it's preffered phxy device is on "Default" that setting allow nvidia to choose the best phyx device for a specific game.

Thanks, that was straight forward, I noticed however, that my cpu! is more powerful than my GPU! in running Physx tests!!

You can choose to let nvidia decide or try fiddling with the CPU setting on games and see if that yield more fps :).
