How to get MLAA, etc to show up in Cat 10.12 CCC2

5870 with tessalation slider? nice

used this guide quite a few times ,so thanks east coast its got my head round registry settings pretty good now so good infact ive upped 10.12 to the new 11.1 hotfix a, and managed to get the tessalation slider up and working(i think) on my 5870 its in the UMD section of catalyst registry thought id mention it to you so you can A try(prob are ;) ) and matbe include it in the first post

ps also finding this post this time was hard peeps might see it again lol
 
if you have installed cat 11.1a hotfix then goto the same registry section for you ati card and under the UMD sub section and its in there listed at the bottom

Tessellation_OPTION change the 30 to a 31 im sure thats all i did

Thanks for the info for others if they have issues. Cat 11.1a is suppose to provide this by default without any registry tweaking though. For some reason some aren't even rebooting their PC's after the driver install. I can't figure out why one would do that.
 
yeh i thought of the reboot tho but tesselation didnt appear in cat for me till i messed with the Registry despite a reboot, not being funny just saying because it might well be an issue or something as i did have a longer scroll page in catalyst like there was room for more sliders(still is) but tesselation wasnt there? i was gutted at first

Hmm, that is indeed strange. But I wasn't talking about you though. I read other posts in another forum. Did you add those tessellations commands in the registry yourself? Or was it there and you had to change the values?

Edit:
The Tessellation binary string set to 34 00 actually reflects the level of 4x tessellation. If you change it to 32 00 = 2X, 36 00 = 6X, etc.
Tessellation_Option binary string 30 00 = a check mark in the box for AMD Optimized
Tessellation_Option binary string 31 00 = check mark in box for Use Application Settings
Tessellation_Option binary string 32 00 = empty box for AMD Optimized

For 5000 series users, manually select 2X, 4x, 6X etc even if you are using AMD Optimized.

the registry strings were there just not the slider in cat i thought radeonpro would enable it on reboot twice but it didnt i just changed tesselation option then the slider appeared on ccc restart not reboot but i do get what your sayin that i mearley set it to App settings cntrl,
strange but either way the slider definately works try x2 in unigine dx11 then x8 or x16 big difference both same unigine settings
 
Try 2x tessellation and run 3dMark11 vs without it and see if you notice a performance boost.
Edit:
From what I've read in the forums the tessellation option "AMD Optimized" will have it's own profile (none right now). So the best option right now is manually select your sample rate (or whatever they call that slider).

I followed this and now I can run MLAA and AMD Optimization Tessellation thingy!

Hey followed the instructions to try and get eqaa to show up in CCC but it doesn't seem to off worked, restarted mom.exe but no joy : [

Have I done somthing wrong?

Funny how fanboys from both teams seem to constantly "forget" that their side does it too. :laugh:
 
If there is a "documented" setting (checkbox, slider, dog poo on a stick) you can't really consider it as a cheat. I mean it's visible what you have available. It's like sticking a 2000 litre reservoar on a car roof full of Nitro and say, no i'm not cheating in drag races...
 
its only cheating when someone sets it to the fastest setting and claims they arent :P
 
its as simple as, posted benches are rife with dodgy benches surely and now more people are more capable of doing it KEEP it REAL peeps:) Aplication setting is the one for benches where available, im not sure bout the rest i set to performance tho obv

The leaked 6000 series hotfix, installed it t test the 100% improvement claim, it's pretty damn close, it done it by managing to keep minimum fps above 20 at all times XD ( extreme settings, used to just kill my card dead, now it's fairly fine.)
 
Change EQAA_DEF from 0 to 1 and then reboot CCC through mom.exe.
 
Same result I'm afraid, no option for eqaa.

Hmm, looking at your pic again it appears that EQAA is a string and not a binary. Could you check that again for me. Then undo the EQAA_DEF from 1 back to 0.

Edit:
When you have time, delete EQAA as it's a string. Recreate it but this time select binary value. Once completed restart CCC.

Hey Ive always had my Anti Aliasing Mode Slide bar show as Adaptive AA mode instead. Which key modifies that so I can get it back to showing super sampling?
