There are $24 tester I have in my tool box but I just find a spare PSu more valuable.
2. PSU Tier lists are useless ... broad assumptions are mde for a model line based upon 1 test. A 750 watter may be great, a 1050 watter nowhere near great. Which of the following is tue ?
a) Corsair makes great PSUs
b) Corsair makes good PSUs
c) Corsair makes OK PSUs
d) Corsair makes crappy PSUs
Literally, "none of the above" because Corsair doesn't actually "make" any PSUs. If we change "make" to "sells", the answer is "all of the above". You should focus on a specific brand / model series nd then check each size to make sure performance and quality are consistent.
You could substitute Antec and most other PSU brand names in there and the answer would be the same. Seasonic is one name that that doesn't have anything in the bottom category.
3. The Antec CP-850 is a superb PSU ... have one going on 11 years. It has a large form factor (which makes it run exceptionally cool and quieter than just about any PSU with it's power rating.
It needs a compatible case to be used. If replacing the PSU and keeping the case, you may have to made the case to make it fit. Like everyone else... Antec has great PSus and crappy PSUs... the CP series is regarded as one of the best PSUs ever made and quiet as a mouse
The CP-850 is 1.2″ too tall to fit into all but three of Antec’s top cases, so its popularity has to be be unnaturally limited. But the electrical and acoustic performance is superlative, especially in those cases, and it comes at an amazingly low price. White elephant or futuristic visionary...

"For the quiet-seeking computer gaming enthusiast, the CP-850 (along with any of the three compatible cases) is something of a godsend. Fantastically stable power, super low noise at any power load, long expected reliability due to excellent cooling, modular cabling, and all at a price that’s no higher than many high end 6~700W models. "
4. You could build 3 - 5 high end PCs for what it would cost to built a decent PSU testing setup.
5. I have an Antec D85 w/ CP-850 running on a desk right behind me ... it's the only PC we have ever had that was actually "upgraded". The case with its hot swap backplane for all storage, insta swap 2.5" drive superb coolong, front access slide out storage removal.... and large quiet PSU is just to "sweet' to give up.
And, as i said up above, your case / PSU are not ATX standard; if you give up the PSU, your will need to buy a new case or mod the one ya got.
