My updates just keep getting stuck at 3% downloaded. Never wants to work. Might be because I have 2Mbps...

EDIT: lol funny enough I just checked it again now its at Preparing to install 90%

EDIT2: Got to 100% Install now it's back to Downloading updates 1%........

For those with Samsung drives using the NVMe driver, i hear that is why some are having issues with installing/getting that blue screen after reboot. Try removing the nvme driver and see if it works.

Otherwise a fresh install works. :)

The update was perfectly smooth for me on my PC and my HTPC (older H67, Core i3 machine).

Interesting, FWIW in case anyone's looking for info, I'm just using the default Microsoft NVMe driver for my Samsung 960 EVO and the update installed without a hitch. :)

Still using Windows 7 on my main system, but with my secondary I dual boot with Win7/10, ran Windows Update on it when it went live, it downloaded the update but black screened after the restart, hit the restart button it rolled back the update, tried again and it installed, only issues I've noticed since the update is that it reset hibernation, every so often IE will open when I login, and it messed up some of the tiles on my Start Menu.

I've also been going back and forth between factory Win7 and fresh Win10 on my laptop, decided to do a fresh install of Win10FCU earlier this week, first two times I installed it I ran into an issue with the tiles on the Start Menu, the first install was done without connecting to the internet, so I did a second install connected during the setup and the tiles were working at first, but while going through the settings they screwed up again, almost gave up, but the third install worked, so far no issues, sadly I can't use the GPU monitoring on my laptop.

Haven't got it yet. Just waiting for it to show up via windows update.

162 people sticking with XP... Where's the Windows 95 option?

reverted, Creator update got some of my games crashing ... weird...

people with Nvidia cards with that issue are stating that a reinstall of the Nvidia software fixes it most of the time.

I installed it on my laptop and all is good with old Nvidia software of 368.39 games still working fine.

ME:A made me install 388.00 i will give that a try later ... (the reinstall after update )

well not really made me install it ... i was tired of the little "warning" at each game start
otherwise i was running the 1st driver that was out alongside win 10 initially (i am not fond of Nv buggy "latest driver" )

My notebook went smooth without any problems.

What I've found is that I've had to install a few drivers for things to work properly, not just graphics drivers, but also audio and networking drivers on my desktop.

Oh ya I had to go to device manager and reinstall the sound drivers too but it was like the 3rd reboot really weird. Also lost my saved EQ settings on the upgrade, no biggie though.

Wow this is by far the worst download I have ever had!

It has tried to download it so many times I can't even count them...
This kills my internet 2Mbps
This is how much data it has used...
I even used up my mobile data to try it.

I wouldn't know. I don't use Windows anymore and I'm not exactly missing it.
What are you on now?

Right? While XP can still technically be secured, more and more hardware and software distro's are leaving it behind. Getting very difficult to stick with it and have an internet connection at the same time.

After reading about all the glitches and problems[here and elsewhere], on the one system I've got that Win10 runs on, I'm just going to fresh install with an ISO. Windows update still is what it always has been, a total Russian-roulette crap-shoot. Although, credit where it's due, it does seem to recover from a failed update better than ever..

I was running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS until my installation got into a really funky state with packages so, I reinstalled using 17.10 which is what I'm on now. Kernel-wise, isn't not much different since I was already using the HWE edge kernel in 16.04 but, I'm not exactly sad to see Unity go away.

Way with you on that one. Gonna try 17 out now that Unity is gone. Mint has been my go-to distro for many years. Love it.

It has its own issues but, it works. I didn't care about Gnome or Unity as much as I cared about what kernel was running. I run bleeding edge mesa and graphics drivers which works out well for graphics performance.

to me seems little bit faster then 1703 version more smooth

Pretty much fine.
I do like the GPU load monitoring added to Task Manager.

working fine here, very very dirty install(vista @2008 -> windows 7 -> windows 8.1 -> windows 10 insider cu -> cu -> fcu 1709 @2017). all games and apps are retained, no need to reinstall settings/favourites/apps/profile, integrity checks pass fine. Also the system underwent four motherboard upgrades/ all intel, without any clean installs ever.
few bsod's over the years but nothing major. currently dual xeon workstation with 72 threads, gtx 1080 sc SLI, all drivers current.

I installed it on both my laptops, no problems with them. Put the update on my desktop and had issues with directories on my some of drives being un accessible with "Cannot access a folder due to I/O device error". Could access other folders on the drive but some would get a few couldn't. Some sites said do a chkdsk on the drive, but every time i tried it would tell me can't do it on a "RAW" formatted disk or something.

Had to install a newer beta because the fall update killed the taskbar. It was there but not responding to anything, same with start-menu.
Batman Arkham Knight does not seem to start anymore either.

Also forgot to mention on my laptop I'm unable to set the Feedback request, every time I change it and go to change a different setting I go back to find it reverted to default.

After trying it out the past few days and having an easier time removing things not wanted/needed, gonna have to agree. It does seem a bit more smooth and solid. Feels just dirty saying that.. Not in the good way either.. I need a shower..

Other than losing my centre channel on my SB ZX (not the first Windows update to break it)no major hang ups reinstalling the drivers fixed it.

Anyone figured out the auto-start issues for non-signed services? Specifically Asus GPUtweak that always autostarts if I don't close it before shutdown (start with windows is checked off). Logitech GS dosn't do it, so windows is creating a task at shutdown. Annoying.

Edit - forgot to add if I do check 'load at startup' gputweak loads twice.
