yo people im new here, ive a core 2 quad q9550 which really runs hot without reason (65c idle, 100c under load) (already got an aftermarket cooler with heatpipes), checked 9999 times and reseated without luck ;( so i wanna to lower the FSB speed from 1333 to 800 mhz, so it runs cooler and match my ddr2 memory speed, i have option in bios called "CPU BSEL: [AUTO, FSB-1333, FSB-1066, FSB-800, FSB-533]", so im a bit confused, in cpuz, theres a rated fsb (which is 1333.2) and bus speed (which is 333.1), what i know is fsb speed = bus speedĂ—4, so when i select 800 in CPU BSEL, does im setting the bus speed to 800,(which means overclocking) or im setting the whole fsb speed to 800 ?
