So I got the media but now I'm getting this

simple explain that your iso window10 is ready, just fresh install it or upgrade your old win to win10 :)

I'll have to remember that if I ever get stuck without a Win 10 machine and need to revert to XP.
 
You dont need to use any 3rd party software for Windows 10, just use the Windows 10 Media creation tool on Microsoft website. Dont make it harder than it is.
 
Just use RuFus and be done with it

The OP was stuck with an XP machine for creating bootable media, hence the third party software requirement.

Yeah i have an old version of Rufus which has never failed me for both Legacy or UEFI installs.
