intel 1700 with high speed ram, memory

@Dr. Dro does any Socket 1700 DDR4 MB officially support 5333?

I was lucky to get the MSI MEG Z790 Tomahawk to run 5033. Lots of voltage :)

It's on the marketing material for the PG Riptide D4 that OP has, but it's got a big asterisk next to it saying that the officially supported speed is 3200.

But yea, you know Z690... feisty as it comes with memory, even the Ace I had (have, it's parked here and I still haven't gotten around diagnosing or cleaning it) would deadstop at 6400 with DDR5 and a 13900KS... so yeah. OP's a bit out of their league here I reckon

Above 4000 is will run in Gear2 Mode. Defeats the purpose of faster DDR4.
Nah, Always too much focus on tight latency.

Here's 4400mhz no problem. At the time seemed to perform well I think. 5.6ghz ambient 14700K MSI Z690-A within package power envelope 253w.

@gasolin , take note the part number in the confirmation box to the right and see if you can find a set. They OC pretty good ;)

im about to pickup the new memory

Here is the current benchmarks One question why does the aidi64 benchmark take so long time, it's like 2 min

Usually don't take that long

4400mhz is possible with gear 2

4000mhz with all enabled cr 1T and gear 1

200 mhz increments 4200mhz and up won't do gear 1

This is what it can do

It happend i thought it wasn't good (fast) enough at 4000mhz cl18 og 4400mhz cl19 gear 2

I returned them

how does it perform in aida64, your using gear 2 which isn't that great compared to gear 1 ?

I found the memory Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4-3600 - 32GB - CL18 - Dual Channel (2 pcs) - AMD Optimized & Intel XMP

Couldn't i get CMK32GX4M2D3600C18 Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3600 - 32GB - CL18 instead ? (save 20 euros)

Just because i can i ordered a pair, if going for 64 gb i have to wait for ddr5

By the way my ripjaws 4400mhz cl 18 could do 4400mhz cl19 but with gear 2

CMW64GX4M4D3600C18 (v3.43) is on the qvl list but i guess half of it also works 2x16 instead of 4x16gb

I guess CMK32GX4M2D3600C18 is 2dimms instead of 4dimms 2D/4D

Oh I don't know, maybe a few ns difference. I haven't used a DDR4 platform in over a year now.

CL 18 was lossened to CL20 went from 3600mt/s to 4400mt/s, unstable at 4600mt/s. I'm pretty sure the CL20 actually had better latency because of the frequency jump over XMP profile. That's 400mhz increase. (800mt/s). CR1 Gear 2.

Vccio/Vccia 1.25v
Memory .05v+ (1.40v to 1.450v)
CPU - 5.5ghz 1.290v (Manual) LLC second highest.
CPU cache goal 5.0ghz (important for memory performance)

Then do testing E-cores enabled vs disabled w/e your benchmarks/games/productivities are.

3rd party app for disable core parking is QuickCPU.

Intel extreme tuning utility is a must have. Should be able to tune your setup on the fly. Defaults in bios for it to work best though. You can go to hwbot and check out XTU profiles for your cpu also. Might be able to utilize other people's tweaks and so forth.

I mean if your going to be tuning any ways....?

My ripjaws v had better performance at 4000mhz cl18 gear 1 than 4400 mhz cl19 gear 2

The speed didn't make any big difference even when cl did go 1 up because i had to use gear 2

4000mhz gear1 4000 ish in the passkmark bencmark, 4400mhz gear 2 3700

Corsair say they can be oced to 4600mhx but im affraids it has to be at 1.600volt ish

They do have to go past 4100 or else they are going back

I cannot speak the validity of Passmark. 99% faster than all ddr4 rigs? I have no comparison screen shots of that benchmark suite. :(

Threaded memory way up. That's where you want the bandwidth yes. Pretty much shows just how bandwidth starved the cpu is. :)

My 13600KF 7zip score 5250mhz was 122338 running 103bclk ddr5 5200 CL36. Latecy was probably close to 70.

I know it's DDR5, but was sold before I put into a proper motherboard. So that 103bclk was all I could OC it. Just left all the voltage stuff auto...

My memory is ready to be picked up so i can oc them

Hoping for something exciting (speed), so the increase is so big it's no worth buying and using 6000 mhz cl30 or 6400mhz cl32

Update the ram is not good at oc only 3800mhz , higher i might have to use gear 2

Update, Memory returned

I need ddr5 if i wanna improve the performance from my pc, not to difficult if every 32gb 6400mhz cl32 works

So fare knock on wood or as we say in denmark 7-9-13 it runs smooth

DDR5 just gives more fps at 0.1 and 1% lows

I now own 2 pair of these memory bought used for less than what a pair cost new

Tested 64gb but wouldn't post, 32gb i had to raise power limit 231 and 251 watt using intel extreme utility tuining and no theres no edp, current limit (strange since i thought stock my 13600kf should run with 100% no edp/current limit)

After i have changed power limit (don't know if i can set it lower without edp/current limit) do to cpu erros in occt and not stable in ibt, i havn't tried 64gb (4 ram sticks)

Ram is on gigabyte qvl but my mb is not supported according to g skill, only higher tier gigabyte mb's z790 + 13gen cpu (runs stable)

should i be able to get it running + running stable with 64gb ?

high speed fairly low cl 64gb ram that should work with my mb (specs updated)

I believe those are all 12th gen AlderLake CPUs and with the System Agent voltage locked to 1.1, you are lucky to reach 6400 MT/s.
System agent volt 7s actually locked to 0.9-0.95v I previously had a 12400f. Best I could do ramwise with ddr4 was 3600.

13600kf cpu here
