Intel put out a clear, close-up picture of its Arc "Alchemist" gaming graphics card engineering sample. This matches with a picture of the PCB rear shot that surfaced in a report by "Moore's Law is Dead." The picture reveals a PCB that's about 3/4th the length of the cooling solution, with the remainder of the cooler's length being used to directly vent airflow from the back.

The PCB reveals a rectangular pad for the GPU, which corresponds with that of the larger "Alchemist" GPU. This is surrounded by what look like eight GDDR6 memory pads for a 256-bit wide memory interface; at least 10 VRM phases of an unknown configuration; and a power input configuration that's made up of one each of 8-pin and 6-pin PCIe power connectors (capable of delivering 300 W including slot power). The PCB shows traces that connect the GPU to all 16 PCI-Express lanes of the PCIe finger. Display outputs include three full-size DisplayPorts and an HDMI. This particular variant of "Alchemist" is rumored to feature 512 execution units (4,096 unified shaders), and at least in SiSoft SANDRA, it allegedly outperforms the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti "Ampere."

And it looks like a graphics card!

Wow unicorns exist.

I will be interested when W1zz posts his review of the good, bad and ugly of it.

By this point in time, I am starting to think that someone at intel marketing is actually, actively, pulling a troll on us.

No more hype intel, for the love of humanity. It's been hyped to kingdom come and back. Twice. Just... shut up until release.

What?!?! No blue PCB?!?!

Indeed; thoroughly unacceptable! Now excuse me while I freshen my torch and sharpen the tines on my pitchfork.

Okay Intel, turn the GPU market on it's head and bring these out at $500, and make it so they can't mine.

They already said they won't be limiting mining performance.

Interesting; the PCB has slots for 2 8-pins instead of 1 8-pin and 1 6-pin. I haven't kept up with what specs correspond to what model; is this their supposed top-end model or one in the middle of the stack?

Love the open grill I can hear the sizzle already.

It does use a mixture of Torx and Phillips. Nearly as high of a crime.
No, while that is a crime, woodscrews is fraud...which nvidia should have been fined for. It's a callback to the GTX480/fermi "launch" where a prop wooden block was used.
This appears to be functioning hardware, all we have left is for Intel to make working drivers.

What im suprised is if this in indeed the top chip - how compact the PCB is. Even when using regular GDDR6. Tho to be fair the 3080 FE PCB is also very compact.
Seeing this i wonder how compact the smaller models will be. But knowing AIB's they wil problably slap a triple-slot, triple fan cooler in there that hangs over the PCB.

So did a boardshot of larabee

Dont think for a moment Intel's msrp will be lower than AMD or nvidias
I don't think, I hope dude chill, regardless their drivers are turd ATM , but I would buy a mid ranger, just to you know, have a go.
See what's going on.

I would take a narrabee right now any day too or knightsferry and that's not even a GPU.

It's silicon though and this habbit needs it's meth.

Hurry valve, I needs.

Rather see PowerVR coming out swinging and undermining all of them.
