Intel is now bumping up the introduction of Clovertown(Serve) and Kentsfield(Desktop) chips. They will release Q4 of 2006 as opposed to Q1 of 2007 as origionally planned.
Kentsfield is a code-name for next-generation "extreme" desktop processor from Intel, it will feature four cores. Many Suspect that it will be two Conroe chips on the same piece of substrate. Following that same reasoning, Kentsfield will most likely have either 4MB or 8MB of L2 Cache, and the 1066MHz FSB that Conroe also has.
