Intel SandyBridge Mainstream Quad-Core CPU Architecture Surfaces

Screw i9 for me, this would be good for media-PCs.

The thing is.. it really doesn't matter any bit if you buy an after-market cooler. You will get to the same performance with said cooler. Be it because the chip has more transistors and thus higher performance in all, or because it is clocked higher.
Aftermarket isn't in Intel's mind when they decide on a stock HSF and wattage limits.

Another example is IBM POWER 6 processors: they have a maximum TDP of 165w. I'd love to see their stock HSF because it has to be a monster.

The thermal performance of the package sets the upper limit for computing performance.

I think this is a decent explanation of the Power 6 cooling Ford, although not 100% sure on the source judge it for yourself

URL? Quote? XD

enough crap cpu's from intel , im want still on old intel cpu's the best cpu's (LGA 775)

AWESOMENESS!!!!
that's it....
gee cant wait to see benches done on this beast.

Water-cooled. Heh, yeah, that's why they can have 165w TDP processors. All us people that don't have $100,000+ budgets for a computer are going to have to get by with 130w.
