Is 72 degrees C okay for gaming 4-6 hours a day?

It depends on your power plan and CPU model

For a 5600X with a 280mm AIO?
No.

For a 5600X with a 280mm AIO?
No.
It's probably 72 degrees C for the GPU, since it's posted in the "Graphics Cards" section.

yes i agreed 72c is fine and dandy.

It was for the graphics card bit what would you expect from a 5600x with a 280mm aio?
72c is definitely OK for an RTX 3070. As for the 5600X, I wouldn't expect more than 50c in games with an AIO, given proper airflow and decent ambients.

Anything under 80C is absolute gold on Nvidia because you get max power without losing a lot of boost. Go over that magical number and you will find less voltage is going to net same or better results.

Duration matters not. Temp is temp, 24/7 or 30 mins.

Don't worry, because

Depends.
72°C is fine. A 35°C higher hotspot is not fine.

Temperature varies depending on the hardware.
It also matters if this is idle, load, or stress testing.
Your 5600x will idle higher than a lot of other CPU's and run 'hot' at light loads, but should be under 70C most of the time. At 75C, it might start to lose small amounts of performance

Your GPU is similar by coincidence, you'd want it under 80C

In decent ambient temp (22c) my processor doesn't exceed 40-50c on most games but it does go up to 65 in warzone, battlefront 2 and in cinebench r23 it goes up to 55c, is this okay?

I think most CPU's run the hottest in Cinebench , however 65 degrees gaming is still OK imo.
What I don't know is , is it a good load temp when you use a 280mm AIO? Read reviews and/or compare with other users.

your temps are good (rather cool in fact), go back to gaming and stop worrying

Hi,
R23 only uses cpu so add the gpu temp and 72c while not great is well under any type of issue thermal wise
You might review your case air flow for better cooling possibilities.

Your temps are fine -- during gaming your processor is being cooled by hot graphics air so it will run hotter than just CB by itself on a cold cooler.

65C is low - it is actually what some laptops idle at so your temps are great. Don't worry about it.

My 5950X runs slightly warmer in gaming than it does running R23 nothing to worry about just how ryzen behaves for the most part.
