I am having this issue now. The Bus interface field is showing the wrong information.

My Specs:
H570M-ITX/ac
Intel Core i5-11400F
Zotac Gaming RTX 3060ti
Windows 10-64bit

Things I have tried:
- uninstalling and re-installing the nvidia drivers
- uninstalling and re-installing gpu-z
- removing and putting back the graphics card.
- changed the PCIe bus link speed to/from auto/gen3/gen4 in BIOS.
- two separate riser cables (one is gen3, one is gen4).

Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
Anything else I should try?

Thanks in advance.

If you put some load on the card via the ? mark button -- Start Render Test, does anything change?

What PSU brand & model do you use?

Without any riser cables, is it still that way?

1- It is around x2 1.1 and it goes as high as x2 3.0 when I start the render test.
2- I have an EVGA Supernova 550GM
3- I have yet to try this but after trying two different riser gens I assumed it was something else.

Did you try to change the GPU slot? edit: nvm your MB has only one.

There is only one
Any bios updates available maybe? worth a shot.

Edit: What i would do is search for a newer GPU and MB BIOS and install them , test the GPU in some other motherboard (or some other GPU in that MB) and go from there.
Check if the PCIE slot is clean.

Is the card bought new or used?

Did you notice the issue after placing all the components in a new case?
I'd first check the performance in 3DMark and compare to the other 3060Ti scores to see if there's any performance difference. If the card really is running in x2 3.0 mode there should be a noticeable difference.
Also check the PCIe slot (and riser cable) for any damage or dirt just in case as @izy mentioned.

I asked if you were the first owner, since sometimes the card gets damaged by previous owners which could result in a cut down PCIe lane.

Yes. I noticed the issue after moving to the new case. But I also remember having to upgrade GPU-Z after the move. It was showing what was expected before migrating.
I got a 10838 when I ran Time Spy. Will compare to others.
I am not the first owner but I've had the card for over a year without issues until now.

i know you have tried 2 riser cables bud i went through 3 before i got a good one mine was stuck on x8 for the first 3 thay was all thermaltake but i got a coolermaster ultra flexible one and its worked prefect since.

Thanks. I think I have a third I can try but out of the other two I tested, one was working fine before moving to the new case and the other one was brand new.

Try without riser cable, also inspect your card's slot connector area for damage to components, like a knocked off resistor or capacitor

another card works at the correct lane width using one of those riser cables?
