If you intend to upgrade the RAM on any of your computers and said machines are powered by DDR4, it’s time to bite the bullet and do the upgrade. While we can’t literally guarantee that RAM prices won’t continue to decline, they’ve fallen far enough to qualify as an automatically excellent value, especially if you scrimped on RAM 18 months ago to avoid paying what were then very high prices.

Definotely not those prices here, but good reminder to buy some for a likely future build.

I guess I could buy some memory for my coming Ryzen build before next week. I am worried about incompatibility with whatever motherboard I choose though.

I wish to see such prices anywhere. The best i see at the moment for 16GB 3200MHz is around 90usd.

Look at that abnormal jump in price from 3600 to 3866 :kookoo:

That 3600 kit would be perfect for a Ryzen 3000, as it'll probably overclock to 3733 with ease.

$69 at newegg... the first placed I looked. ;)

Oh.. 3600 for $70... newegg... https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232736

Oof.. painful. I can ship a set to you cheaper, lol. Sure looks like your country is seeing the trend though. What were those a year ago?

Those islands island in the middle of nowhere tho. :p

Only if 256GB RAM kit at high speed is available tho...

And yeah of course I will need Zen2 Threadripper. Damn AMD work on that sweet sweet 64C128T Threadripper of yours!

Edit: sorry everyone I was at work but I did cut the screenshot down to a smaller file size.

A year ago they were $346.00NZD so yeah they are coming down but still more than twice the U.S equivalent price this kit in $69 U.S > NZ dollar = $103.53 even with PnP it's still less I'd be paying here

You enjoyed that ram for a year now and you are complaining the $80 spent. I would not.

I would look for any 4000mhz+ c19, underclock it to 3733mhz cl17 for ryzen 3xxx series.

Try attaching engines to your island and driving away from the bottom of the earth... may help.

I'm kidding, love you guys but obviously not your prices.

32GB would be the thing once again....

Them's about €90ish here. What about other models? Some for the locale more exotic models are well above €100 still. There are some 2x8GB kits for about €70.

Wow, the cheapest DDR4 3600 2x8GB I can find around here is 94,90€ (GSkill SniperX F4-3600C19D-16GSXKB) but if you want something nicer it's much more than that.

That GSkill 3200 CL16 kit is 90€. Man, gotta press F for New Zealand, you guys have it super rough.

I have to agree, this is a great time to do RAM upgrades!

Great time for upgrade RAM????
CORSAIR Dominator Platinum RGB cost 279 euro 16GB 3200MHz.
Before 4 years I payed same price for 16GB only 2666MHz.
Price is insane, no new memory until new standards.
That throwing money out of window.

Edit. Now I see 32GB is 300 euro, price is down but not so much.
But again I don't see reason for buying more or faster memory.
Price invested in upgrade memory will be significant in moment when DDR5 reach market.

Are you talking about CL14? Quite a price premium..
