LED light always on, help

i finally finished building my desktop pc today, but i noticed that the l.e.d light close to the power on/off button is always on, i believe it is suppose to blink...where should i have this cable connected on the motherboard, maybe i have it connected wrong. my motherboard is GIGABYTE GA-MA770-UD3 and my case is Raidmax RX-9. thanks

is the off/on button green? The HDD activity is the one which blinks it should be red led.

the off/on button is not my concern, is the activity light what i want to fix, its always on...and before, i had another motheboard and it would blink. i think it is the HDD activity light

I'm guessing its the motherboard power indicator,and its not supposed to blink.My last asus board has the self same led on it.

no....lol sorry if i said any misleading information, but the green light i am talkin about is outside the case, usually on the front panel.

You tried switching the connector around on the motherboard,or does it just not light up the other way around.

Sorry i thought the light was on the board.

no problem, i havent tried anything because i am not familiar on where to connect the cable, i just connected it where it said HDD but maybe its the wrong one.

Normally the green led on the case is the power LED and will be constant when the board is on...the HDD led is normally amber/red and will blink when the HDD is active...so if you have the green led plugged into the HDD Led header, it will blink with HDD activity...switch it to the Power LED header and it should stay constant...It doesn't matter which one is hooked up where, just be aware the HDD LED header will blink with activity, the power LED header will stay constant when the rig is powered up.

Maybe your wires are wrongly connected? It can be confusing sometimes.
