Lenovo ideapad 510 ISK15 throttling at 61 C

Hi,
I'm new on a forum and i didnt see any answer to my problem on forum or googling it.
I own Lenovo ideapad 15ISK with GT 940MX 2GB DDR3 and it has serious throttling problems (throttles at 61 degrees, everyone on Lenovo forum are complaining about this yet Lenovo doesnt do anything to resolve these problems) so i decided to modify my vBIOS, or let someone do this.
The problem is that i can't extract it. I tried using GPU-Z and got "BIOS reading not supported on this device". Does anyone knows another way to get my vBIOS, or maybe someone has vBIOS suitable for my laptop.

The problem is, the laptop BIOS and the VBIOS are one BIOS....
You can't change anything about it.

are you sure its not just the VRMs overheating?

Unless you wish for an expensive paperweight, don't bother with vBIOS.

What do you want to mod anyway? Lift the limit? Which will result melting things down? Well, I suppose a molten laptop is better than a bricked laptop entertainment wise.

So I really must tell you, please don't bother doing anything fancy with the BIOS, otherwise you will lose your laptop.

I would leave it alone and look into what else could cause it to throttle like VRM temperature. Work on fixing that issue and leave the vBIOS alone.

@pallluch leave your freaking bios alone. Only update it per the manufacturers directions when told to do so otherwise don't expect us to help you when you brick it.

Your issue results from poor hsf contact or crappy thermal interface material on the cpu and chipset.
Change that stuff out. Also on another note today's laptops are built thin thus not good on cooling. Get a laptop stand with additional fans on it. Clean the intake and exhaust vents on the laptop too.

I dont think that VRM causes throttling. Using monitoring soft like NVIDIA Inspector i can clearly see drop at 61 Celsius mark after like 1 hour of playing games like Doom from 1100 Mhz to 450 Mhz on clock. Anyway, thanks for advises to not touch BIOS. I've cleaned vents lately too.

I will change thermal paste then. Will getting cooling pad help maybe?

Vrms do cause it because they are getting hot too. Yes I would replace the goop on the gpu die with good compound.

VRM's probably don't have a temp sensor on that laptop so how do you know if they are hot?
