Looking for new RPG (Two Worlds?)

Nice one JAT.....now that is the true spirit of TPU. Aphex, let me know how the game is as I'm yet to play it but will be a probable purchase for me in the next couple of months.

Not many new RPGs on the look out arent there? The next Elder Scrolls hasn't been announced, what other RPGs can we all look to this coming months?

Will do. If you don't have by the time I finish it I'll pass it on to you :)

That's a nice gesture mate but shipping to the UK for a game is a killer. I'm sure there will be someone in the US who would deserve it more :toast:

Thanks for the praise guys, but it really isn't deserved. I try and give my games a new lease on life through other gamers. After I play & beat them I try and pass them on to others. Otherwise they just collect dust. I love Steam, but not being able to gift them is a drawback and the reason I always try and buy retail. I always just ask that they continue to be passed on to others. I have a few younger kids that I try to mentor in a Big Brother type program, and that is where they usually go, but the new games are too demanding for some of the older machines.

Anyway, I love TPU, as this is my home on the web, and I will always do whatever I can to help a fellow gamer. (This is the first time I have gifted on TPU and it feels good :D)

Dragon Age is £15 on EA store atm. I've got a £10 off voucher that i'm not using, so you may as well have it since you're buying the game anyway. I'll PM it to you.

I like being nice  :p

Way to join the cause Nick...helping other gamers get games makes me feel all warm and tingly inside. (Not in that way) :D

Sorry ssg, your post got sent into moderation. The spam filter can get a little agressive with new users. Good to go now.

lol I always fail to look at that. I just assume everyone is in the USA lol. Anyways I look forward to passing this on.

Thanks to your kind gesture you have really opened up a whole new insight on sharing and giving. More people should be like this, if your done with a game and don't need it pass it on and have the others continue the cycle. I plan to do the same with this game and more games. Although this is kind of what pirating is isn't? I mean someone bought the game and uploads it then shares it with everyone else. This is like a smaller scale of that don't you think?

Meh. Dont like the fighting system of DA:O reminds me of a rts with bad animations :(

Sorry Aphex, I had a family emergency and was gone all day yesterday. Game is on its way to you today (I am printing a UPS shipping label now). I will PM you the tracking no. in a few minutes.

Edit: Tracking no. sent. I live in a VERY small town so UPS usually picks up packages at ~3:00 P.M. so it will be headed your way at that time. Also, I haven't used any of the downloadable content, so feel free to grab all of that as well. I have included all of the DL content forms in the games package. I have also included the downloadable armor for Mass Effect 2, in case you have that game or decide to pick it up.

Enjoy the game.

I own Mass Effect, Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect 2 originals, it feels really good to buy original games :) it's a my tiny little way to say, "Thank you guys for giving so much joy in such a small package!"

Here in argentina PC games are about 65 dollars each but being our money exchange 1 Dollar = 3,89 Pesos it's a freaking lot of money XD so i can't afford THAT many original games.

Own it find it very hard to play... Not that its difficulty just that I find it hard to make myself want to play it. I can be picky, I know its such a great game but its just not for me.

If you find a game very hard to want to play, how can you still say its a great game? Perhaps it is just a very over-hyped game that has gained its status through a combination of its technical brilliance and a 'compliant' eager to please mainstream media? The inflated hype can of course then snow ball and take on a life of it's own.

I found Mass Effect to be very boring and slow. Furthermore, whilst I personally know around 6 people who share my opinion, I don't actually know of anyone who actually enjoyed the game.

Elders Scrolls (Oblivion) was a tragic waste of a beautiful virtual fantasy world. Fallout 3, having forced myself to get into it, I find the game entertaining and interesting enough....But that was only after around 10 hours worth of force playing.

For my money, the very best RPG around at the moment is RISEN (PC version). Unlike all it's competitors, I was hooked after around 2 hours of gameplay. The world is hugely atmospheric, 100% totally free roaming, no loading screens, artisitcally stunning in places, and the action gameplay is brilliant.

MatTheCat, I'm also finding Risen to be awesome :) Currently working my way through it but I don't want it to end.

Well hi you just met one!

Mass Effect 1 it's one of the greatest games i ever played good enough for me actually buying it in a third world country, so yeah i would say it's a great game and i enjoyed the heck out of it the 4 times i finished it :)

But again...games are like food or women i mean you can't fuck or eat anything just cause other guy or cheff says it's good ;D

EDIT: Wow that did not sound good...well XD

I know that plenty people on forums state how amazing ME is, its just that I never met one in real life. But then, I don't know anyone who both plays video games and watches crap on TV like Star Trek (the new ones) or Stargate etc.

Whenever someone (in real life) states what an amazing game Mass Effect is, further interogations reveal that this person just thinks the game is really cool but has only played a few hour into the story before giving up (due to lack of interest, having better things to do, etc).

The one I am most looking forward to is Arcania A Gothic Tale. It will essentially be the new Gothic 4. Made by Spellbound. It promises to be Way better than Risen. It will be playable like the other Gothic games, in first person OR third person :-) A Win Win. It is supposed to be coming out later this year. The screen shots and trailers look better than Risen.

I guess everyone has their own flavor of RPG they like to play. Thats why there are so many various kinds. I love Oblivion to death and Fallout 3 and I didn't really like Risen or MassEffect (Although I installed it on my laptop and gonna give it another go lol till I get Dragon Age). Its just opinion man you gotta relize that, thats why I say I couldn't play Mass Effect but still think its a good game cause I understand how it is other might like it. Thats why I never cap on game unless its just EPIC FAIL Full of glitches or something other wise the gameplay is just to each their own kind of thing.

Some like it fast some like it slow, some like it simple some like it complicated thats just how it is....

I for one LOVED Mass Effect 1 & 2. I have played ME1 4 times through, and I finished my 2nd go through of ME2. I played ME2 the first time as a man, trying to get Paragon points all the way, then the 2nd time through I played as a chick, and went for Renegade the whole way. Renegade is definately the way to go in my opinion.

This is one of the reasons I liked it so much. There are so many possibilities in it. Exploring all the worlds for hidden beacons/side missions, etc. There is a lot to do in both the games. But like Aphex said, to each their own.

Except for the last decision when you end up with a weird feeling like saying...wait...i actually helped the man?? No no, that can't be right and you end up with FULL RENEGADE and the las choice PARAGON. There! Best ending ever! ;D

WOW THANKS SO MUCH :D! :toast: Will do! As soon as I'm through I will most definitely pass it on. PMing.

It won't be soon  Took me 71h 33min and 42s to finish it and that's not counting the times I died? Just finished it a week ago http://social.bioware.com/playerprofile.php?nid=2250422497&game=dragonage1_pc

Two Worlds 2 has release date for my birthday, not hard to know what to buy. I did enjoy the first one maybe even more than Oblivion, but might not be for all.

Anyhow, enjoy Dragon Age, it truly is a great game, but the downfall of it that it's hard to start a game. Why? Because you know it'll take hours once you start.. :D

This is SOOO very true. Took me forever as well. But those are the types of games I like. Those games that are just EPIC.

NO!!! DON'T BUY IT!!... that game sucks donkey balls... Had it on Xbox360, never played anything that sucked so much before in my life, even Dark Messiah is better... It doesn't come near comparing with Fallout 3 or Oblivion... :banghead:

It's different on PC from what I hear. I was a puked on turd on the 360. Another option for an RPG is Mount and Blade. It's pretty fun.
