Looking to run a PSU as a auxillary power source.

I remember doing this in the past but forget which pins to jump to run a second power supply for auxillary purposes. I wish to install this in a custom box to house all my cooling equipment.

Does anyone recall how to do this so I can operate it off the switch?

i did this with a new generic psu, but i believe it wears out the psu, it wouldn't work properly plugged in board, just throw out supply when done with.

Free up ur main power supply from power hungry Video cards and load other things on it.

Or you can just find a old AT PSU at the used PC shop for 5 dollars.

I had to run an extra one like that for a while last year.

Aye but what I am building is a totally seperate tower seperated by quick disconnect liquid cooling lines.
