Lost Windows XP Key

Just a quick post as i cant seems to find what i need via Google.

Im formatting my Girlfriends parents PC in about an hour but i have ran into a slight problem. They have lost the original XP CD with the license key. Now XP is already installed and i need a way to find out/request the Current CD key in use on the System.

I have an ISO of XP ready to use but i would like to use the original legit key that came with the system if possible as its not powerful enough to be upgraded to Vista or Seven.

So any help appreciated.

Tools that can be found to recover your key can be found there. Even if you wipped your drive there is a chance you can recover it.

I never said download a fake key. Besides there are 2 keys on windows xp pro. One on the disc, and one you can not see. Downing loading another key does not always work......


It was just more of a joke than anything....kinnda like Blaming Obama for EVERYTHING that could happen in life.
