Mainboard doesn't power on if RAM is installed

I have a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo 5600 which doesn't power on if it has any RAM. If I power up the PC without RAM it powers on with a beep code telling that there is no RAM. It will turn on for a second if it has any RAM but after that second it just shuts off. I tested it with three PSUs and still nothing happend. I know that the RAM is good since I've taken the RAM from a working computer which works perfectly fine.

sounds like motherboard is bad
not surprising ... the entire machine is ancient according to google ... time to upgrade

Could be bad capacitors, I seem to recall having similar problems with an old machine.

Any chance it's a ram compatibility issue? Boards were slightly more finicky back in the day.

Hmm. Takes DDR. Shouldn't be too much of an issue. Try one stick at a time? Might be one of the channels.

It has an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ which will be upgraded to an Athlon 64 x2 since the mainboard finally works.

There was water in the CPU socket. One day wasn't enough to let the mainboard dry

Water in the socket of the PC you're trying to power on? Depending on what it bridged, it might be fried.

was gonna say this but more likely its the fact you didnt let the socket dry long enough and the conductive water shorted something causing critical melt down
