Microsoft Flight Simulator Requirements Listed, Ideal Specification Requires 150 GB of Drive Space and RTX 2080 GPU

But that's the thing, its not a cloud render. The cloud only streams 'a few' objects on the map, and the map itself is local. So no jittery environment or anything. And stuff like weather is always in motion regardless.

So, worst case scenario I reckon is you'll see some pop in... what's new?
If it uses the cloud to pre-load assets in the surrounding world (i.e. where you are flying to) then it will be the perfect usage for cloud computing (err, more like cloud storage with on-demand data streaming).

While I know that it is getting common for games to require a lot of hard disk space, games from Microsoft Studio tends to take excessive amount of storage as compare to other games. From Gears 5, I noticed the crazy amount of storage required, followed by Forza Horizon 4 and now this. 150GB will quickly wipe out the storage found on the unreleased consoles. I think MS needs review new games and optimize the storage requirements.

I believe in 5 years all new AA Titles will be mostly cloud-based

Congratulations, you won the random graphs of the day award.

Hahaha come on, give the guy a break, there's that one rare occasion where you can link a good Radeon VII bench, its like a solar eclipse, enjoy it!

I totally agree with you, but this game, unlike all others, has all the plane models, physics engine, weather engine, etc., plus the whole planet Earth with oceans, mountains and cities. Now this really needs lots of storage, not like some stupid shooter game for 10 yr olds that has 500x500m square map with some buildings and trees but requires 50GB on your drive.

Looks really nice. The last time I touched any flight sim was back in the early 2000's. Maybe this is the title that will get me back into this genre.

There will be a lot of visual glitches for most people ... it's not comparable to an offline game at all.

Stop complaining about the streaming data, you don't want to host that data I promise. I have high resolution satellite and model details for fsx I bough years ago for DFW and Houston. It came each region on 4 DL-DVDs highly compressed, total install size per region after decompression was 53gb for DFW and 51gb for Houston.

Now imagine the entire state of just Texas, that's an easy Terrabyte for one state and at 2009 satellite resolution.
