Mousepad recommendation

i agree its personal, now im using aluminum mouse pad with rubber base
its good and cold, easy to clean and hard to wear

Razer Goliathus are great mouse pads. They may cost a bit more but it's worth it. It's heavy with non slip silicone bottom so it's really flat and where you want it, fine clothed upper surface allows really smooth mouse gliding and it's comfy for the hand. If I use plastic surface or desk without mouse pad sweat starts accumulating on the surface and mouse feet bstart to stick to it, making movement weird. But here, none such problem. I've had it for years and just recently I've noticed it's not gliding anymore as it should. Washed it and it almost feels like new again (didn't even look greasy or filthy at all). I think I've had it for like 5 years if not more. So, certainly worth the money. I can't believe I used to use those crappy plastic ones or clothed ones with cheap foam base before this one...

Another vote for the SteelSeries QcK+. I'm using the XXL version. After the first one wore down, I bought the same one again. Recently I tried the new Logitech G840 (also desktop sized), doesn't come close to the QcK+ for me.

SteelSeries QcK+ looks good too. I like it how it has no texture or motives on it, just simple single color mouse pad. Goliathus is rather colorful though I got used to it over time...

There is no perfect mouse pad since it's a personal preference thing.

I just ordered a Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical because I've established that trackballs, no matter how much I love them, make my wrist ache. I'm looking for recommendations for a reasonable priced mousepad that would be suitable for it, because I got rid of all my mousepads when I switched to a trackball. Thanks.

for my personal computer at home, currently using Thermaltake Tt eSports CONKOR size L, great surface, i do own 2 mice at home, Tt eSports level 10m mouse & microsoft arc touch wireless mouse, works awesome with both of'em, decently priced, availble almost everywhere,

at the office im using a singluar round mouse pad, and also have this other one:

Purchased at amazon like 4 years ago, still on mint condition, so far the unique bad trip about that one is the white of clear color it has, you might have to take a regular clean on it, i use to clean it with dish washer paste, pretty effective, and dry in a fresh place away from direct sunlight! same for Tt one too, same cleaning process, then you feel it as new,

my two cents,
:lovetpu:

Steelseries Qck. Great to have such a spacious mousing area, great surface material, and it sticks to the desk well. Even if you don't use all of its surface, its also nice to rest your wrist and arm on it. After having this one for two years, if I use a damp cloth to clean it off, it's like brand new again.

So the mouse arrived, but it neither works on my table, or my Dell XPS mousepad with plastic on top of a metal plate. I had to dig out one of my old cloth mousepads. What's the deal? Do the Microsoft optical mice not like anything even remotely reflective?

If the sensor in it is anything remotely like the original than nope mine sure as heck didn't when it was new

hahaa nice, i hope it wont move itself at night

So, based on the discovery that the mouse can only track on cloth surfaces, I went ahead and ordered a mousepad with built-in wrist rest from a local ergonomics company. I already have two keyboard wrist rests from them, and I did buy the same mousepad before but I gave it to my mother to take to work with her after I got my trackball. She rates it highly, so I should be happy with it.

Just got the Asus ROG Scabbard. It's made of Cordura fabric. Only been playing with it for a day but I think this thing will finally replace the QcK+. The mouse glides superbly, it has stitched edges and looks nice. The fabric is hydrophobic so there shouldn't be any issues with sweat or accidental spills.

Do check it out. No idea how much it will cost though, waiting for a quote from Asus.

Oooo that looks nice. +1 on the QcK+, I reviewed one years ago, and bought a new one recently, always good pads, but that ROG one looks like a great step up. No RGB either, perfect! :P
